It was a very weird last 5 minutes of the game.

Dube, Lucic, Huberdeau, Kadri, Pelletier and others were benched.

Neither Dube or Lucic played after the 15 minute mark.

Kadri and Huberdeau and Toffoli were out in the final minute.

Backlund and Mangiapane were at times then as well.

Same with Coleman and Ritchie.

 

I can't explain it.

So the Minny game IMHO will be either the end or the turning point. IF and its a BIG IF they win, they should or could go on a long run for once this season. 

What I find interesting is Minny was selling at deadline. We were closer to buying without spending assets or draftpicks.

Well, Minny sold parts as did NSH, well swapped out parts. Next season is going to require some players to be moved up from the AHL and others shipped out to make the cap space work. There is some fancy dancing that has to go on to make cap space next season. Backs, Lindholm, Dube, Duehr, Toffoli,  Hanifin, Tanev, and Kylington, are all a form of UFA or RFa status.
