I think you need to use Gaudreau mid play, not at the start.

We just can't seem to defend.

Get beaten back to our end by 2 players.

I think they were on too long. I was thinking change when they got the puck back and thought it would haunt them. And then the back checkers had no legs

You need to stock being psychic.

STOP THAT.

Gaudreau on the boards is not a good battle when he;s fresh.

Lindy in too deep and no legs,

We have to re-think the OT.

The guys we are using are getting burned.

Hanifin, Tkachuk, Backlund....

It's not the player sometimes as much as the combos.

Monahan + Hanifin - no

Tkachuk + Hanifin - no

I agree! Something isn’t right with the make up. Can they use Monahan and Johnny together in OT again? They used to be Money…

they could put Lindholm and Tkachuk together first and then have Johnny out with Monny after.

But in that situation. if they chip it in deep they get a change and fresh legs. They need to know when to simplify.

The idea is to never lose possession.

I would suggest that we put out two C's to start.

One comes off when we gain possession.

Don't waste Gaudreai if we lose the draw or get tossed.

Tkachuk is not skating well enough to be out there in OT.

Would use Backlund, Monahan, Lindholm, Gaudreau, Mangiapane, Kylington, Ras.

Maybe Dube as well.

I'm not going to go on an on about the game or the players.

It happens.

We have stretches where we hit the goalie or the post or miss a wide open net.

Hart was good but not other worldly.

Markstrom was more impressive in shot quality.

We ain't winning games where we only score one.

Waste of a clutch performance by Marky.

The Toronto game was the same thing.

Wasted chance.

it also looks discombobulated and guys are getting in each other’s way. I like your idea of starting the two centers or even just starting Lindholm and getting the puck, then change. Hanifin isn’t a good idea, so would Kyl be a good option?

I think Kyller was made for 3 on 3. Offensive instincts and the wheels to get back.

Also Risto really stood out for me tonight on the Flyers.

I don't know what's going on.

Ras is slow out there but smart.

Just not very fluid.

3v3 Gaudreau should be ruling.

Lindholm was struggling with draws but we still ended up with possession.

We keep losing possession on the boards or trying to go through players.

Hanifin in first loss.

Tkachuk and Backlund getting tripped.

The OT against Toronto was good until we lost possession.

I think we need guys that can win battles out there to start, then sub in on the possession.

Kylington is very fluid and sees the ice well.

Good passing mostly.

Asked Oliver Kylington on our postgame about Calgary’s 1-5 overtime record. Loved his response: “I wish I had the perfect answer for you, but I don’t think I have one. I’m just sick of losing in overtime. We just have to figure our Satoshi Nakamoto out and get a win in OT.” #FlamesNHLTeam_2021_Flames.png

Hopefully Hart doesn't have a big bruise on his stomach from getting hit there with the puck 30 times.

Swap Dube and Coleman. Dube is far more effective on his off-wing.

Just go back to Mangia-Mony-Dube for god sakes. Mangia's still creating chances but Coleman's never around. Mony's the trailer like center's are supposed to be.

Still trying to be patient with Hanifin.

Don't even get me started on Tkachuk. There's playing with confidence, then there's playing with arrogance. Stop taking stupid penalties. Lousy skater.

I suspect that Coleman is being used to help the 2nd line when we don't have the puck.

Really, the best I have seen him play is with Gaudreau and with Backlund/Pitlick.

You want some offense from Monahan's line?  Yes, go with Dube in there.

Great chemistry between him and Mange.

Hanifin only worries me when it's a low scoring game, tied or up by just one.

OT is not the best place to use him, or PP for that matter.

At times, I am happy with the 4th line, but I think we are short a C.

Lucic is the best player on that line at times.

IT should have been over in the first.

8 scoring chances!

NHL Player Safety is really bizarre.

Backlund fined $5k for a "crosscheck" on Konecny.

That sure looked like a push with the gloves.

Unfortunate result on the play but I doubt it was cross check.

Mangiapane was X-checked twice in the middle of the back; stick to back.

No call until the third one.

Much more dangerous than the hit on Konecny.

The games have been entertaining and its not that we don't get scoring chances, we just never capitilize. Suttur will not scarfice defense for offense, He will balance the lines that way. I have been impressesed this season by a couple of Players Gubranson, Kylington, JG, Mags and Vldar have been standouts most games. Coleman has yet to stand out for me as has Pitlick. If they brought Pitlick  in for speed and tenacity on the fore check, he sure has yet to show it. Richards, Lewis have been Meh but are sound defensively.  Anderson is solid he is

One thing with Sutter the cream rises to the top in his systems. Matthew has been a large disappointment this year along with Hanifin.  In a contract year for Chucky he sure is making a case to have his Hash Rate shipped out. He plays like he just doesn't give a Satoshi Nakamoto, If you want to be captain of a team than prove it. They one player that has shown he truly wants to win and has elevated his game this year is JG.... Give him the C.
