It was even worse than the Flames sticking with Brodie on the top PP nearly all season before making a switch to Gio-Hamilton halfway through. So there's a history of stubbornness and playing favorites. Things change and it would be hard to argue Hamilton's effectiveness for the PP next season given his results. Brodie if still here has to show more confidence and decisiveness in his play because I think he screws everyone else up. I don't know that Hamonic does much to effective the PP given the style he plays. Andersson could provide some excitement.

So there's a history of stubbornness and playing favorites. Was he playing favorites? Faulk had 19 PP points this season. His shooting % and goals dropped by half, but his PP effectiveness was actually his 2nd best year in his career. Speaking of Brodie, he was relatively effective on the PP. Did it make sense to have him as the point guy? Probably not, since he's not a big shooter. We had a mix of guys that played on the top unit: JH, Monahan, Brodie, Brouwer, Tkachuk, Ferland, Brodie, Gio, Hamilton, Janko.... The coach was more stubborn for not playing the guys that had success.

He's been skating with the team, but with a full face shield and a non-contact jersey. So I think he's still week to week, but getting pretty close to day-to-day status
