So tonight the series for all the marbles starts. Nashville's "Mustard" yellow vs. Pittsbugh's "Urine Sample" yellow.

I'm going for Ottawa for Anderson, and St. Loo for Army. I don't have any problem with the Ducks now that it's vs the Oil.

Let's go Ducks! ugh. I am cheering for Washington tonight, and the Rangers to take out Ottawa. Calgary is the only Canadian team I want to see win the Cup.

I kind of thought that OV saying he was going to the Olympics no matter what, was a way to stick it to Bettman, so I like it.

While watching the Flames & Jets tomorrow maybe do a little scouting of the young guys. The Jets have so many dang good prospects @ forward they'll have to trade a few to make room for those in the pipe like Roslovic & Connor. The honeymoon is almost over for the fans & some of the vets are getting antsy as well.

I know how you feel. Until you posted a few the only visible comments were my last 4 or 5. Maybe nobody looks @ the sideboards anymore. I see it as a great place to put something that doesn't fit open threads but doesn't warrant a new thread. An example will follow in my next entry.

I read an article in the Calgary Herald about this being the 40th anniversary of Slap Shot. I never knew that the original choice for Reggie Dunlop was Al Pacino. I can't imagine it with any one but Paul Newman.

Monday is a good day for the HHOF to fix some oversights. I suggest Theo Fleury & Eric Lindros as worthy additions.

Anyone else having a problem where the board keeps signing you in & out? I can be asked to sign in, read a thread as a lurker & it signs me back in. Strange.

I had 2 days where I could not log in here. Error page not found type message. I was able to get around that once by logging in on Oilers Board and then entering here but it logged me4 off shortly after.

All charges were stayed in the Mike Richards court case after all these months. That means no record. Expect the Caps to re*sign him as Trotz really likes him.

So how does that affect Mike's NHLPA appeal of the dismissal? They turfed him because of the events.

The appeal was settled. LA gave him $s & he along with the NHLPA accepted. He's just trying to rebuild his career & under Trotz is in a good place for it. He won't be an Olympian again but will likely be 1 heck of a depth player. The kind you want on the ice when it's late & the score is close.
