Well Peeps, the Pens won 2 (7 & 8 years later) after drafting Lemieux & spending 6 years out of the playoffs. They won 1 after 4 more (would have been 5 if not for the lockout) to draft Crosby, Malkin & that bunch 3 years later. We got 1 Cup without having to sink into the mire so are 2 Cups worth 11 years of tanking? Not if you cheer for wins.

If you want to win, then you can't be afraid to lose.

That could apply to losing out on the next "Next 1" too. I've seen a lot of highly touted players called that but no Grtez or Orr so far.

For a bit I wondered in the Flames organization just pulled the plug on the message board since it won't just fade away like so many of the other "NHL Sanctioned" team sites.

Checked the NHL forums for the Oil, Nucks and Ducks the day ours was down just to see if they were up or not, and they were down as well...

this is what happens when your President of Hockey operations say they could just up and leave with no notice...lol

The appeal was settled. LA gave him $s & he along with the NHLPA accepted. He's just trying to rebuild his career & under Trotz is in a good place for it. He won't be an Olympian again but will likely be 1 heck of a depth player. The kind you want on the ice when it's late & the score is close.

That actually really bugs me... The Kings shoud've been crucified for that.

Just an interesting tidbit. I was almost born in the states. A week before my actual birth my parents were in N Dakota to catch a movie (I grew up 6 miles from the border) & Mom went into false labor. Dang, I was that close to having dual citizenship for the best 2 countries.

I saw it. I laughed, I cried, I vomited in my mouth a little. It's an unabashed tribute the old grind house films and IMO it takes full advantage of the desensitization of society to push gore and sex even further than those grind house films did. That being said....I loved it. And I will never watch it again.
