  1. You aren't but the cap is unrealistic. With 10F, 4D, 2G, we are $86m. Think I did it right.
  2. The filter turned it into BAFO. It's good that we have something to be positive about. I want us to beat the crap out of any Pacific teams. Our only area that needs more consistency. Likely the most important thing to fix. 2 losses to Sharks and 2 to EDM. I thought we were the better team against the Oils. The Sharks still seemed like they had our number. Need to pound the Oilers next game and not give Drai or McToothless any space.
  3. I suspect they take a dim view of playing injured. Sore or stiff? Okay, reasonable. Injured or concussed? No way.
  4. Wow, just wow. He's practicing on the exact pair he played with before. #Flames at practice today: Gaudreau-Lindholm-Tkachuk Mangiapane-Backlund-Coleman Lucic-Monahan-Toffoli Lewis-Richardson-Ritchie Dube-Ruzicka Hanifin-Andersson Kylington-Tanev Zadorov-Gudbranson Stone Markstrom Vladar
  5. Today has a practice is in CGY at 10:30. It might answer a few questions. I don't expect Shilly to be on the ice, but interested to see if all other accounted for; Ritchie, Stone, Richardson and Ruzie. Also watching the waiver wire. Ruzie can be an assignment to the Heat without actually going there. The other guys require waivers to bell assigned. If we have any need to call up a D, one of those two things needs to occur. I f nothing happens, then we are running 6 D and Shilly is out short term.
  6. I went unconcious for about a minute one time due to low blood pressure. When I came to, I was shaking like a leaf and sweating up a storm. Couldn't walk steady, so I just sat for about 20 minutes. Not saying he didn't have one, but I doubt they keep him in the locker room if it was one. They would send him for tests ASAP. Maybe Sutter and Tkachuk were downplaying it, but it seemed like he was fine. That doesn't scream concussion, but I'm no expert. Wishful thinking maybe.
  7. If it was a concussion, he will have to miss about a week. The speculation seems to be that it was not one. There has been no player assignment yet today, nor anybody place on waivers. Considering tomorrow is practice day in Minny (I believe), there isn't a lot of time to make moves. I think BT is loathe to send down Ruzie. That means a waiver move at the very least or no players come up. There's a game tonight for the Heat, so unless somebody is scratched, we see Stone in the short term.
  8. DM played a decent enough game today against CAR. Smith gave up two goals and really a 3rd that was called back. Even though Koskinen played a much better game against FLA, Smith will get more games. Looking at the standings, EDM is caught up to LA, Vegas and NAS. Dallas on the verge of a tie with them, with a less game played. Drops EDM out of the top 8 by virtue of more games played than Dallas. Two easy road games for them this week (Philly and CHI) then home to MTL.
  9. Certainly not ideal. Stone and Guddy put out two less mobile guys. Say what you want about Big Z, he is mobile and is able to zone exist and entry. Stone can probably come in without a lot of disruption. Put him with Tanev to protect the other pairs. I think the logical thing would be to waive Ritchie or Richardson. Assumng any longer absence that is. Yes, it has some risks, but it doesn't make a lot of sense when Ruzie has been quite good. According to the fancy stats at least. I feel the healthy scratch was about getting him to re-focus. Saying all that, Kylington was in the dressing room. He wasn't taken to hospital. Matty said he seemed fine. It doesn't mean he plays next game, but is good that he never left the building. No doubt, the docs will be very careful with him.
  10. The win in CGY s great, but we have to regroup and do the same thing in the State of Hockey. They are rabid fans and the house will be rockin'. Same effort and we should be fine. They are a good team, but without Dumba and Greenway they lack the punishing players. The refs may be a concern next game, as they put the whistles away this game compared to the VAN game. Strangely enough it was the same crew. Tough schedule coming up. MIN, MTL (on a streak) and COL this week. EDM/WAS B2B, TBL and DET/COL B2B, but 4 of those are at the feared dome. 10-1 in February. 11 in a row at home. 5/8 games at home to start March. Then 7/8 at home for the rest of the month.
  11. A little bit of love for the Heat. 1st in points% in the league. Top goalie in AHL - #1 in wins and SAA% Top PK in league
  12. I think you must have forgot to butt out that joint man. JK.
  13. I compare this game to the Leafs game. Can't figure out why the coach (or fans) would be happy winning a game 10-7. What kind of game were they playing? Did anyone play defense?
  14. I enjoy that attitude. I was so sick of the moral victories we used to be satisfied with. We battled. Bla bla bla. I am okay with losing a game where we gave our all or an unlucky bounce decided our fate. But I don't take any satisfaction with it.
  15. I was thinking about the protocol. Kyler is a tough SOB. He won't want to miss any games. He gets clocked from a high hit on the boards and skates off. Seen him draw match penalties and he is fine. If it's not concussion protocol, then it's being knocked out they have to keep an eye on. You have to run tests anyway.
  16. I LOL at Darryl's comments. 7-1, 10-0, 2-1 what's the difference. Gotta clean up that after the whistle crap. Can't do that if you want to be in the playoffs. Matty score 2 every time he reaches a milestone.
  17. Even so, you know we won't see him before Saturday. Maybe the off chance Thursday, but I'm not sure of the number of days he has to miss.
  18. Wel, Rob, you must start buying lotto tickets...
  19. I was more concerned with the impact. Brain going about 10 mph. Head hits the brakes, brain keeps going.
  20. Yeah, I'm not worried about the next game right now. We played as well as you can expect. We have played that way so many times, it's up to Minny to play better. Without Dumba and Greenway, they are a pushover physically.
  21. The only positive thing was he skated off. You don't let that happen if there is any possible neck injury. WIth a concussion, you also take extra precaution.
  22. When I first saw it, I thought he was taking a dive. It seemed so exaggerated. Never saw anything like that before.
  23. Will be checking Twiiter for any news on him. Have a couple of days off between games. It may be nothing, but you don't take a chance on head injuries. Or when a guy is knocked out.
  24. Pat Steinberg@Fan960Steinberg · 1m Calgary beats Minnesota 7-3 at the Saddledome. Make it 11 straight wins at home to tie the franchise record set in 2015-16. They’ve outscored opponents 53-15 during this stretch; last home loss was January 13th vs. Ottawa. #Flames
