  1. What a bice play by Gaudreau late in his shift.
  2. He has 2 guys on the ice at any given time that will punch another player for messing with the goalie. Just tell them you are pissed. They will oblige.
  3. I don't mind this game so far. We have trouble with the Sharks, so it's important to get and hold a lead. One goal games. Read where we have surrended the least 5v5 goals in the league. 101. Okay, so 102 now. Think we are still up on CAR though. I like Sutter's idea of trying to win the Jennings. Lowest GA. We are dang close and seem to be playing with that in mind. Goals will come, but GA creep up on you.
  4. Cassie a little annoying. Almost like she is trying to call attention to something. She does that too much. I get it, but let it go already. They made a call.
  5. We very seldom force a bad pass from the D. Sure there are ones that are into some coverage, but we don't risk passes close to our blueline.
  6. Marky with the weird goal let in. There is always one of those every now and then. His worst stats are medium to low danger for some reason. Maybe those are ones that get tipped on the way most times. This wasn't.
  7. To be fair, except for the shot, the play could have ended better. Just sometimes we go the wrong way behind the net.
  8. Did I mention that Vegas sucks? Down 0-2 to WPG. Can they even score anymore?
  9. He was aiming where you said. It was below the glass and not on the crest. Improving. Bwahahaha.
  10. Dube gets the turnaround snipe. Stage 2 Complete, Begin Stage 3.
  11. Well Backlund just shot to your suggested location. End result, nothing play. It was a weak shot though. LOL
  12. Dube looking off the shot. At least drew a penalty.
  13. Was in a collage of Sutter pics related to sharks. Were from Jaws, though I don't know where they got this pic.
  14. Really, Valimaki is an example of what can happen to a prospect with injuries. The funny thing about Val is that last year he had 2 points less than Hanfin in 7 less games.
  15. We used to sign career AHL players to round out the farm, mostly because we had guys that didn't pan out or jumped into the NHL soon. I mean less than 2 years in the AHL. Nothing exciting there and nothing to hope for. Compounded by the lean years of the idiot GM, the Burkie impact, and the years giving up a lot of picks for Hammy and Hanny. But I do think we have got to the point where we need guys to stay in the AHL because we have too good a team in the NHL. More coming next year. We still have a young NHL team by some standards, so we can afford to wait. When they do get here, we will have to accept a minor trending down until they are comfortable. Guys like Mackey and Valimaki will push people out, like 3rd pairing guys. Ruzie, Pelts and maybe Zary are the next F wave. They aren't blocked. We will only use them if the are NHL calibre. We gave up a lot in the 2022 draft, but one year isn't going to set us back that much. Resolving the Monahan situation is key to success next year. At least for keeping the best players from the current team.
  16. Good job RD. When they post the lines, it looks sometimes like they have the wingers reversed. I think Dube plays RW and Tkachuk LW. And Coleman plays RW and Mangiapane LW. IIRC, the only time Tkachuk plays RW is when he's with Mangiapane or Gaudreau. Excited to see how Toffee does in his 2nd game with Gaudreau. He seemed like he was adjusting last game. Jarny with Mange is a work in progress.
  17. Reimer it is. Can we knock Karlsson out of the game for a few? We seem to have that effect on teams. Scratch that, I would prefer that their team is healthy to spoil EDM's night Thursday.
  18. Well, it came down to a 5'8" RHS C or a 6'3" LHS LW. The scouting seemed like he has excellent skating, so it's a reasonable expectation he would be good for our team...eventually. Woohoo Team Sweden.
  19. It's game day B's. Sharks sometimes give us trouble, but we are at home. Continue to build the lead. Keep it going and win the division. Beat the spoilers. Win games against the division. That is all.
  20. I don't think there is any question that the summer fish are more important to validate the GM. I like most of the decisions made this summer and the trades completed this year. Some turned out a lot better than we ever expectd. Some of the drafting this year a little suspect, as we missed out on guys we should have gone for, but that's not all on the GM. One would expect that the Gaudreau re-signing is going to get done. It will cause some sleepless nights for (some) fans and likely the GM, but I have no reason to believe it isn't happening. It will cost what it costs and we might complain, but we will have him. Tkachuk is more of a issue for term and dollars, but I think there is understanding that he's as much a part of the future as Gaudreau.
