Backlund would have put it over the net, like he was using a wedge. I don't fault him for the shot selection. He's just getting used to his line, so he double clutched it a bit. Gave goalie enough time to have a play. Had the players been reversed, Mange one-times it.

It's probably just me, but I would love to see Bread-Ruzie-Toffee on a line. Jarny has been good at faceffs, but I think he could use add some help to Backlund's line. Lewis doesn't really fit.

He's a little slow, but kinda like Toffee. Slow when it's cold, gets smooth when the temp heats up. He needed to go roof daddy on that chance, goalie only had the bottom 1/3 covered. He was thinking tap in. Still, it's a goal 99/100.

It's going to be low event. That is what Sutter wants. Doesn't like 7-1 games at all. Could still happen, but we aren't going to open it up to get there. Buffalo beat a lot of teams, but I would suggest those teams opened up. This type is much more nerveracking, but might as well get used to it. We are not there to outscore our mistakes.

2 games a month apart. That was the point, not a 7 game series. First game a goalie battle, nnext one we spent the entire game in the box. 34 minutes vs 2 minutes. I would not say we made anything difficult for Demko in the 2nd game.
