  1. I don't understand any of this, but I'm guessing that it's pretty funny.
  2. I'd likely put Froese ahead of Gawdin too. Gawdin has ceilinged imho. Froese obviously has too, but he knows what the 4th line grind is. With Ruzicka, I always think there is more there, and comes down to coaching. Coaching in Sarnia has never been great. It's a culture thing, just yell at them to play better rather than be a teacher. I have my reservations about Ruzicka, but they boil down to mentality, not skill. Imho, that's where Sutter masters. Teaching guys the required mindset and showing them how an NHLer grinds, in a nutshell. I doubt Ruzicka has ever had that to be honest. I love what I think Sutter's doing with Rosie. Imagine having Lewis and Richardson on each side of you on the bench explaining every C's tendencies at the dot and how to play in the NHL? How much more do you need? Gawdin's downfall is, you just aren't an NHLl player. They wanted you first. I think those 2 are Sutter's assts. I've thought that since they were signed. Sutter tells them the message, they report back on how they think it's being taken. The rest is up to Rosie. He's gotten 3 games in now, so maybe, just maybe...I really hope so. He's being coached hard and my initial reaction is, "he's listening and learning". Good sign He needs that and he needs good coaching. It's all on him to be, "coachable", now. GREAT chance for him here if he's smart enough to grab it. I'm cheering him for sure. Everyone in Sarnia is. Nobody cares where you were drafted Rosie. Few other teams have C positions. Few other teams have this level of coaching. Take it man. Fully commit 10 years to make millions, then take a breath. Again, it's really on him. He's skilled enough to be a top 6 C,
  3. And Barkov, I agree. Aho being a 2nd rder makes him really special as a top C in the league.
  4. I'm really happy that Rosie's making a decent accounting of himself. Not trying to do too much, not doing too little. Sutter's really good with centers, and he's never had a really intense coach to my knowledge. Still hoping Ruzicka finds that anger gene via Sutter. Zacha was high end C with the Sting, so was Rosie for different reasons. Zacha was always intense, Ruzicka likely a higher ceiling, just lacked the consistent intensity to the point you get really frustrated by him. Perfect for Sutter.
  5. And he just had to turn north to win it back. He is the epitome of tentative.
  6. Aho and Necas are so good. Oilers lost, so we're officially ahead of them regardless of the game in hand. Hopefully the Canes own them and we can W Boston.
  7. I benched Mangia in the pool, he should make me pay!
  8. Between periods I turned on the tv and the Oilers analysts were showing everything that should have been a penalty to Boston. They want hockey to be unwatchable.
  9. SNW regional blackout...Oilers everywhere. The stream is fantastic!
  10. I'll be sure to tell him you said that.lol He's a Sarnia guy. Really good family. You know, he tells the story...our jr B team was the Sarnia Bees (hence now jr team is the "Sting"). His dad used to fish broken sticks from the dumpster after Bees games and cut them to size for Dino. Hard luck story? No. Everyone did that. You're like Dino for taking your house garbage out naked in Minnesota?lol Too funny, he was charged with indecent exposure. Stupid Italians. He thought no one would see in the early morn. Not that he was horny. Silly episode. We pulled our pants down pretending hockey and said, "Ciccarelli, breakaway". He laughed his Hash Rate off. He's my oldest brother and brother-in-law's age. My bro-in-law played on the same teams as a scorer but broke his leg. All of them are fun. Dino's a good guy. Bought the Sting for Sarnia. Hockey is more than making the NHL. Too many obsessed parents is painful. I literally wanna punch them.
  11. Here's Hanifin in a nutshell for me. 70-30 chance to win that puck, backs off. 40-60 chance that this might not work out, takes it. When he takes a chance, he HAS to score, or it's a big problem. He needs Tanev back with him, we need a Dman for Ras. The Kyl experiment was fun for awhile, but he's a 3rd pairing and O specialist. His D is yikes too often. We really need Valimaki. He needs to rise. The season will be about different guys stepping up. Need Vali to right about now.
  12. Didn't really look very good during the entire road trip. This was likely their best game but riddled with coverage breakdowns and d-zone breakdowns. Kylington with way too much adventure last night. Do Backlund and Coleman not realize Bread is the leading scorer? He was open in the high slot how many times and neither player sees it. They made him invisible. I want Bread-Mony-Dube back, big time. Lucic back to 4th line for a power line. Put Lewis with Backlund and Coleman seeing as their passing vision looks lousy regardless. Really dumb game in our own end. Back to looking like widespread panic. Hopefully Valimaki gets back in, the Gud-Z pairing is starting to look high danger slow. A few races that were a lot closer than they should have been. Feel bad for Vladar, hung out to dry. We played well enough to win, but jesus the mistakes made my eyes bleed. Dube on RW was constantly on the left side in the D-zone, didn't understand that. I may re-watch this game to count D errors, looked like a ton live. But Rosie scored, so that was cool beans. Maybe that net-front presence is something PP2 could use. He's got the hands and size for it. On to the next one and hopefully cleaning up their game, although they're on a every other night run now so a little nervous about that. Do we HAVE to lose every time Edmonton does??
  13. Can't stop turning the puck over in our own end.
