  1. It never went to the NHL. My guess is that Calgary and Vegas have agreed to a deal in principle. Vegas is now trying to get a 3rd party broker to take on cap, because Vegas still wants to add another winger and wants to make sure they have room to do it. This is pretty normal this time of year.
  2. Hill has been better than Markstrom, just hasn’t been healthy. Vegas just signed Hill to a big extension, they have no need or reason to trade for Markstrom.
  3. It wasn’t announced, the insiders said it was done, but I am sure they are either working on the extension and/or a 3rd party broker for the cap hit.
  4. On a side note LA just extended Moverare for 2 years at pretty much league minimum, after putting him on waivers early today.
  5. Conroy is loving the Russian defensemen. Miromanov is 6’4” 26 years old and a RHS. Has put up good numbers in the AHL the last few years, but hasn’t cracked the NHL roster except for 28 games over 3 seasons.
  6. Minimum 10 games and 24 days, plus you have to have cap space once they are clear to return.
  7. Martinez’s cap hit still counts when on IR, if he was on LTIR then Vegas could go over the cap by the amount of his cap hit, but he isn’t on LTIR.
  8. Just to add Martinez going on IR doesn’t give Vegas any extra cap space, just an extra roster spot.
  9. LA is one destination Hanifin might sign long term.
  10. Have to think something We didn’t have a 25 year old second line center who is a pending RFA. Lindholm wasn’t getting Byram.
  11. Philly had to take Johansen to get the 1st, so there is your bad contract.
  12. Well Philly just got a 1st for Sean Walker, so if Calgary can’t get a 1st for Hanifin, I will be a bit surprised.
  13. LA is putting Jaret Anderson-Dolan and Jacob Moverare on waivers. Anderson-Dolan would make sense if we are looking for center depth, especially if the rumours about Rooney being on the move at the deadline are true.
  14. That is a pretty solid pick up for them though, add some depth scoring at 50% for a 3rd.
  15. I think Solovyov and Kuznetsov are better off getting big minutes in the AHL. I don't think they are quite ready for the NHL, they are close but not there yet.
  16. With Andersson, Weegar and Pachal as the only defensemen signed for next year it makes sense to add some veteran depth to what is most likely going to be a younger defensive core next year. I would guess that Kylington is going to get an extension soon. That leaves a spot in the top 4 and a spot on the bottom pairing.
  17. Phillips was claimed by Washington not Calgary.
  18. Needed defensive depth, so claiming Hanley makes sense. Hanley makes league minimum and is signed for next year. He is 32, so I am guessing this is strictly a depth pick up.
  19. Holtz as a return is starting to grow on me. I would prefer a center or a defenseman with top 4 upside, but Holtz has shown that he can produce in limited minutes. Only Hischier and Bratt are averaging more points per 60 minutes on NJ, he is also 1st in goals per 60 minutes (both averages are at 5v5).
