It looks as if Kris Chucko may be finally coming around. The 2 goals he scored in last nights OT loss to Iowa gives him 9 goals and 9 assists in only 21 games so far. His career high in goals was 15 during last season. I guess the one downside is a -6 rating.

QC has had a pretty bad start to the season. They are pretty good defensivly but can't score. So its been pretty tough to be a plus player on QC. They resembles the Flames in alot of ways.

This is a key year for Chucko and i'm glad he is responding. Becuase of his mixup or trouble with University it took a year or two out of his development. I'm not suprised he is developing a bit slower, but at the same time if he didn't do it this season I would have my doubts.

Does anybody know anything about 4th round pick Nick Larson? I thought I read when he was drafted he was going to play college hockey at Notre Dame this season, but he is still with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL.

I know some.

He is off to Notre Dame http://media.www.ndsmcobserver.com/media/storage/paper660/news/2008/11/21/Sports/Hockey.Recruits.Sign.For.Fall.2009-3557286.shtml' target="_blank">Next year[/post]. He had only verbally committed to them at the draft. I believe Larson is a early birthday so he wasn't eligible for Notre Dame this season. Either way, he has committed to them for next season and then you'll see him in the NCAA with, as the article says, some good NHL prospects.

Well, Keith Aulie's gotten the invite to the Team Canada World Juniors training camp. Once again, though, John Negrin is nowhere to be seen.

I don't quite know why either. I think Negrin is easily a better dman over Aulie so i'm suprised he keeps getting passed over.

Nemisz was also passed over even thought he went to the summer camp. Too bad, but i'm not that suprised especially with alot of good top end talent from the 09 and 2010 draft available.
