Martin Pospisil Re-signed - 2 years 2mill total

Starting a new thread for one of the better stories of the year. Pospisil has been on the cusp for a while just coudln't stay healthy. Great that he is making the most of his chances.  Today gets a 2 year deal for 1 mill AAV per. 

 

Honestly feels a little rushed but it's low risk so it's worth it. He can be sent down and come off the cap fully if it got there and still is an RFA when this expires. I don't mind betting on these types of players.

Good for Pospisil and happy to see him signed for 2-years at a very low cap hit.  Very low risk for the Flames.   He's a mid-six right now on Kadri's RW so it's a bargain signing.

It’s a neat story. Good for him to get a little security.

 

I think he’s a bit over slotted in a top six role. But 1m is going to be a value deal for him, regardless of where he’s playing in the lineup.

Good deal, he adds a necessary element which elevates the whole team.  Great contract, see how he develops.

I get that there was probably little need to do mid-season.  But it looks like he was arbitration eligible this summer as it was.

Locking him up for a known value near the bottom end of league contract value isn't a bad thing.

5 and a game is only for the game it happens.

He didn't get suspended after the fact.
