Gavin McKenna - Possible generational player. Ping Pong balls say Flames?

Righto.

Agree or don't agree with these posts I do occasionally.   Gonna say, a lot of them have turned out (not all).    With current Flames situation, this is more relevant than ever.

*I'm skipping Misa.  I am not confident that he is generational.     I also regret not doing a Cale Makar thread and feel there's probably another sleeper like him coming at some point.

I am now thinking that Michael Misa's likely not generational, but Gavin Mckenna, on the other hand, is still in the running.

Pretty impressive exceptional player status numbers.  Could be generational.

Thoughts?

Also...where will the Flames be in 2026?    Hate to say it but I suspect we will be in the running.

Should be a very good player. Lots of chances for Flames fans to see him as he's playing in Med Hat.

His exceptional  status numbers are not Bedard-good.

But, they are roughly McDavid-good.

He's got more size than Bedard so he doesn't need to match him.

I'm not counting on him being generational but he's up there.

Let's see the Flames get more picks :)

So the timing lines up with getting 1st overall in time for new arena.

The way the lotto balls drop, ya know.
