We are so bad entering the zone that the guy we tripped on a previous breakaway is way behind the play and gets a shootout basically. Jump the shark is an expression that means you have tried everything and you are just throwing stuff against the wall. Comes from Happy Days, when the Fonze's girlfriend Pinky Tuscadero jumps a shark tank on her motorcycle. When a TV show has really struggled to keep viewers, they say it's jumped the shark.
