Dreadful at the dot at 20-for-51. Backlund at 15% (2-11).

Only Ritchie with less ice time than Tkachuk. Mins staying pretty balanced. Mangia and JG on both sides of special teams.

It's refreshing having a very good coach.

One positive, Monahan at 55%.

The rolling of 4 lines has as much to do with a B2B as anything else.

Sutter is never a line 1, 2, 3, 4 guy; he just picks lines when he needs something or their last shift was impressive.

Gotta fix the PP.  Nice to see Coleman gets some reps there.

The PK has been good of late, going 9 in a row now without being scored on?

The end of the Kylington PK resulted in a goal, but it was a pick on Valimaki (?) that created room for the shot.

I think the PP will have spurts throughout the year where they are good but overall i'm not seeing many good things out of that unit. The lack of a PP QB and good shooters I think is going to make it tough to be consistent. I'd expect them to finish in the bottom half of the league this year on the PP.

But on the plus side, their PK is looking very, very good. That unit could be something this year.

I think the Flames having something too in the Coleman-Backlund- Pitlick line. That line has some pretty good potential as a two way/shut down style line but between Coleman and Backlund can add some opportunistic scoring. They were fun to watch last night.

Just got to find some other combos.

The results for Gudbranson's time on ice are a mixed bag.

At times, he makes smart plays, but at other times he makes cringe-worthy break out passes.

While we outplayed the Rags for a lot of the game, there were times where we tried to get out of the zone and it was feeble.

I would be inclined to insert Zadorov back in the lineup, if he was just replacing Gudbranson.

Not that Guddy has been the problem, just that the other 5 have been mostly steady.

Need to see what works best.

I've seen a nightmare scenario of Zaddy-Tanev.

Perhaps Zadorov-Kylington or Zadorov-Ras would be a reasonable alternative.

Just don't know.

At this point, taking Kylington out doesn't make much sense.

He's earning his minutes and adds skating to a sometimes slow pairing.
