When you don't learn from the past, you can't ever really leave it  :)

That's why there's people who are still excited to see the next 30+ goalie we sign for our retool next year lol.

Gallant has never won anything like that.    If he did, we could compare who won more recently.

Didn't realize we are signing another 30+ starter.

Hear that Rask is a UFA.

Awesome.

I hear the Vancouver media say Rask is currently the best goaltender in the NHL and only getting better.  Not even 40 yet and has never had more than one major concussion per season.

Mangipane with a game winning goal as Canada get their first win agaisnt Norway 4-2.

Funny that Pettersen didn't play today, and they lost to Canada.

Glad Mange was able to get an important goal for Canada.

Mangipane with 1G and 1A as Canada wins it second to go 2-3 in the tourney

Some teams will see what we already know, he's the lifeblood of a good team.

I'm so glad they drafted him, and maybe he finally gets his due on this team.

Mangiapane up to 3 points in 2 games, Petterson scored for Norway. Mackey and Solovyov both played as well.

I forgot about Mackey.

MEP skipped last game I think.

Nesterov plays for Russia, not that I think he's really a Flames player.

Rafikov is there two, but I doubt he plays a game for us ever.

Ok thank you 😊👍

Too lazy to spell him name, in fact used copy/paste to put it here.

Really, I'm not sure what name he goes by.

Remember AOM?

Adam Ollas-Mattsson

Too many ll, ss, tt in his name to spell it out.

Mangipane lighting up the Italians with 2G 2A through 2 periods.

6-1 to Canada at the moment.

Shame Canada probably does not make the quarters.   Unless Kazakstan loses to Norway and they win their last game against Finland their hopes to through are poor

Norway beat Kazakstan 3-1

So Canada just need to beat Finland to get to the quarters!!

If I'm following it correctly, we have the same number of points as Germany and Latvia.

We have to win in regulation to force one of them to also win in regulation, buy a sufficient number of goals to make up the GF/GA difference.

Or did I get that mixed up.

All I can say is that without Mangiapane, we wouldn't even be thinking about making the playoffs there.

Becasue we lost to both Lativa and Germany if Canada end up level with either team I believe we lose the tie break.

If we lose Canada are out.   If they beat Finalnd in reg or OT they go will through to the quarters

If they get a loser point in OT and Lativa or Germany wins their game in regulation they should also go through as they will be level with Kazakstan on points but as they beat them they win the tie break.  If Lativa or Germany get a loser point and Canada only gets a loser point they go out.

Thats how I read it anyways.

Been a real weird championships with lots of upsets.

I think you got the tie breaker part right RD.

As far as being tied, if we win in regulation we get 3.

If Germany or Latvia win in regulation, they get 3, meaning we are done.

If it goes to OT, and we win in regualtion, we get in.

To sum it up, we can only get in with a regulation win and an OT game between Latvia and Germany.

Did I get it right?

Actuallly I think if we win we go through regardless..

Kazakstan currently 3rd with 10 points

They are done no more games to play

Germany Canada Lativa all with 9 and 1 game to play.

So Canada Germany and Lativa can all get 3rd or 4th.

So reg win Canada will end 12 points.

If one of Germany or Lativa win in regulation that team would be on 12 so both would go through with Canada being 4th.

If OT win for Germany or Lativa that team wiould be on 11 points and loser 10 points.

Canada wins in OT they would be on 11 points so would go though.

Loser point we would be on 10 and we can still go through if Germany or Lativa win in regulation as the loser would be on 9 and we win the tie break agaisnt Kazaksan

all very confusing.....
