It's really hard to call it a mistake when not only should you know it was dumb before you tried it it's also in your character (based on many, many stories now) to do stuff like this.

I suspect that you are correct. While old school ice hockey players back in the day were sufficiently brainwashed to keep their mouths shut when mistreated, guys like Alan Eagleson used their silence to rob them blind. People today, including Gen X, Gen Z, Millennials, women, black folks, brown folks, short folks, obese folks, people with facial port-wine stains, Theo Fleury, Sheldon Kennedy etc. are simply unwilling to accept such treatment. Good for them because it shows society is progressing if at a glacial pace. If mistreating people is a core aspect of Babcock's coaching, then he should step down and enjoy his millions in the Bahamas. If the accusation against Peters is true and he wants to spend time with his old buddy Babcock, then I might suggest an alternative destination.
