Going4TheCup
I noticed in the first month of the schedule that we play Vancouver the first two games and after that it gets really rough, that and We don't play Edmonton until November which sucks but what can you do?? I think that is better actually. It sometimes (almost always) takes the Flames time to get rolling. With all the new players and opening day roster flux, you don't realy know what you have until then. I hated playing the Oilers in the first few games because nobody is ready for McDavid's speed. conundrumed
I've noticed that teams that play the most games out of the gate get it together faster and have good success. The year Hartley won the Jack Adams was the last time that happened for us. Florida had it so slow last year that they were complaining about the sked. I don't blame them. It only makes sense that the more you're playing out of the gate, the quicker you're getting it figured out.

We lit WPG up, just days after TOR did. Anyone else remember, the media calling for Maurice’s head after the first 2 games? As usual the talking heads looked like fools.. but I digress

I hope all the games in October helps the team to gel quickly. If they don’t gel quickly we could be looking at a 4 and 9 start. Realistically though, with the right mix of players and lines, I can see an 8 and 5 start. We’ll see how it goes.
Cowtownguy
Why are they blacking out the Flames-Jets game on TSN? They are paying people to operate the cameras, trucks, haul the equipment etc. So, why just not black it out? I don't get it.

Not supposed to be blacked out, but if it is, it relates to TSN Jets broadcast rights. Check for a free stream. Available on Shaw extra channel, supposedly. In response to the first article currently on the main page, someone says that the game is "Available to viewers in the Jets region". I don't see that. I cannot expect to see all of the Flames games given I only subscribe to 6 TSN channels and 10 Sportsnet channels. Not sure why people resort to pirating. It doesn't say that on the Flames main page, but it does on TSN's site... Not sure if I can sign in through my cable subscription and stream it from TSN somehow yet... Or... Maybe someone will PM me an alternative, but 'legal' option to watch it... The blackout is BS...
