Agreed, Not to put down Derek Grant but as i've said before I think people are getting way too ahead of themselves. This is a player who in 34 NHL games has yet to score a goal so to suggest he could be ready to be their full time 3rd line center next year is highly improbable. But if the flames found some way to offload stajan, I dont think he would have a hard time slotting into the 4th line centre spot. Stajan has a limited NTC, so you can likely assume he would have to be protected. If that is the case, he gets bought out prior to any expansion draft. Everything seems to be open to interpretation right now. Friedman hinted that Gillies would not be exposed due to being a 2nd year pro, but I read elsewhere where that would be exposed.
