Lord Stanley Prediction Fun 1

This is the same as the nhl.com bracket challenge to cover the whole playoffs but for the local title of Lord Stanley of the Forums.

 

Pick the winner of each round all the way to the final

Pick number of games each round will last

When we all get round 1 wrong we can do a similar thread for round 2 onwards

 

 

Need to make your selections by puck drop of the first game of playoffs.  I will screenshot after the first puck drop so you so you can edit away and change your minds until then.

 

If anyone wants to put some sort of prize up?    Can the mods ask Flames Org for a prize?  Or we could put $10 each into a prize pot?  Let me know your thoughts.

I don't think it's a matter of interest, I think that most people are waiting to see what, if anything, Pyro has up his sleeve, as he mentioned he *MIGHT* be putting something together (over in the OOT Scoreboard thread).

Contemplating a playoff version of this:

 

Just the way we have been doing it with a re-start for the playoffs. Highest pick %age @ end wins.

Maybe we could rope in numerous new players. Simple to play. A few games a night.

I could update & post standings but not sure if I want to do it every single night.

 

Another idea  I've been thinking about:

A Simple Hockey Pool

Pick 1 (16 total ) or 2 (36 total) players off every team in playoffs. Duplicity possible & everybody in it til end.

Very simple to keep track of. No goaltenders, no special pts, no trades or substitutions. Pure pts only.

 

Let me know if you are interested or if you have your own ideas.

On the other hand, I always contemplate taking a sabbatical from here after Flames done.

My charts & attempt at following & posting about Adirondack regularly takes a lot of commitment.

I won't be a Stockton Stalker next year.

Rocket, some of the Conference SF teams don't match the round 1 winners. Not just me, but I picked the Rangers and Washington to win round 1, but you have NYI listed in the 2nd round.
