  1. Yes, it's attention to all aspects too. He's less prone to giveaways unless double and triple teamed. His game is so good if he can stay away from the boards with coverage.
  2. A 2 on 1 needs to be a lot closer. Way too much space between the F
  3. Magiapane with the PP goal. He has a 6th sense where the puck goes on a deflected shot or rebound.
  4. Naw, in the province right now. Back to the East for Christmas, which I will need to watch on streams.
  5. Ahh, free streams. I have to use those for Flams games hen I am out of the area. I haven't used them for Heat games.
  6. I'm assuming you ware watching the games on "tv". Too cheap to pay for the service myself. Duehr has a nice breakaway. Pelletier starting to run up his stats.
  7. Pagnota suggested he wants 8 years, as this will be the only big chance for a long term or high pay gig. Sure, he could go to Philly, but they have so much salary he would be paid less.
  8. I feel your pain; transplanted Bluenoser since 2009. A Flames fan from the days of the cup win and was only able to watch HNIC games or the occasional special broadcast. I know of a streaming site that I have to use when I go back there. Annoying site with popups and best to use Chromebook to avoid any malicious stiff. But once you get the stream, it's HD quality. Had a better site last year, but it's been shut down. Can't mention it here, but you can PM me. User beware though.
  9. Heat ran up the score to 6-2, so Werner didn;t have a ton of shots. Stopped 20 of 22 Wolfie gets the nod tonight.
  10. I think you mean the Q, not WHL right? SJ hosts the Memorial Cup, so he can go back there and finish out his jr carreer. Was only on a ATO, so perhaps it makes the most sense now.
  11. My read was not they forced to play through it.
  12. I think sometimes a player will do things that are not the best long term, because they love their job and hate the idea of missing time. Think about it this way. If he was on IR last year, he would have been separated from his team mates for the season, stuck in limbo because of COVID, and not able to do the thing that he loves to do. The training staff are going to let them have some leeway until it becomes unbearable. And BT is probably not going to shut it down unless the palyer wants it and the training staff agree with it. Is that the right thing to do? Who knows. Better than the staff doc telling him he needs a certain procedure that could impact his career and he may not agree with it.
  13. Just thought I might post this about Monahan last year.
  14. We have a small number of dedicated posters, and we still have overly negative stuff. The lines worked enough where a on-point goalie collected a SO. Work in progress. There is no set lineup that works for every team, even when I am making suggestions. Gudbranson was one of those players that can produce the right results in the right situation. He's a bit like Stone, in that you shudder before he plays, but then you evaluate the results and think, okay he was good at times. Zadorov has been a bit more risky. I'm just hopeful that he hits on something that works 90% of the time.
  15. That has some value too, but I wonder if they feel Backlund was holding back Tkachuk and Mange. Lindholm is scoring goals like a top line C. He's getting those goals by going to the net like Monahan used to. He's probably the most underrated #1C in the league. On a lot of teams he would be #2, but so what. He's scoring like a #1.
  16. In top form, Mange-Mon-Dubs would be a killer line. Right now, I think they would suffer. Mange-Mon-Coleman is a good choice for me, leaves Dubs with Backlund but on his strong side. He would be less apt to being run over all the time.
  17. My two cents. Monahan was put in a spot where he has to be the responsible C for a pair of bulky guys. Passes to him are rarely crisp. He has to create out of nothing. Is this how we want to be? Monahan has played all of 1 pre-season game and 3 regular season games since last March. I don't think he should be with Gaudreau unless he's playing with Lindholm as well. But we are then down a top C. Alternative is to find the right mix for him. Let's face it, Coleman and Pitlick are good 2-way players, but leaving Monahan with Dube and Mangiapane make them susceptible to being knocked down a lot. Dube and Mangiapane can play together with Backlund or leave one with Monahan. Our top 9 without Ritchie and Lucic is nothing to sneer about.
  18. I will be honest. I wasn't a fan of 50% of the lines last night. Top line - no problem, they usually look to be the best out there. Coleman-Backlund-Pitlick - a little less offense than I would hope for out of Coleman, but he's a worker. Mangiapane-Dube-? - ok, so I have no issue with Bread and Butta, but Ritchie adds very little to them. Lucic-Monahan-Lewis - if this is to get Monahan's confidence back, I'm not sure it's a good idea. Maybe 2 scoring chances and one was a partial break by Lucic. I get balancing the talent over 4 lines, but the results weren't great for half the game. Maybe the middle 6 should be: Coleman-Monahan-Pitlick Mangiapane-Backlund-Dube or Mangiapane-Monahan-Coleman Dube-Backlund-Pitlick I think Backlund benefits from Dube or Mangiapane or both. And Monahan needs a strong defensive F.
  19. One Reddit poster said he has a neck tattoo, which this feller does not have. The hairline looks similar. Is he ever planning on playing hockey if it is him? Guess he has no desire to go to Kansas City. The ribs are good there, are they not?
  20. That's the weird thing. The giveaways was down to 4 for the night, but takeaways were high against the Flames. The PP really sucks right now. Was better last couple of games. Just when they talk about Muller being in charge, it looks useless.
  21. Goalie masks don't stop COVID. I see the players believe in the face shields, though. And they wear gloves.
  22. Kylington actually had a pretty strong game. Had 2 nice shots.
  23. Ooof, I thought there were others. Fun to have a poll there RD.
  24. Looks like Kylington had the OVER. 17+ minutes
