This happened on a nothing play. Was Backlund on and Lindholm came on? If so, that's an odd change. It left Lindholm coming from the bench to engage Aho. I have to look at the player shifts, because it looked strange that Tkachuk was out there. I couldn't tell from the replay if Kylington misplayed it, or was covering the guys behind the play. It looked like Lindholm had that assignment, but it was a strange result. EDIT - It was Coleman that was on with Tkachuk. Not sure how that happens. Lindholm came on mid breakaway.

They took their time with him, though when he played a full NHL season he did really well. Maybe Rozie will develop that way. Naw, we retard development a lot with this team.

I would say he's probably the best choice for a C from the Heat. Gawdin seems to get points, but never seemed to do anything in CGY. Afraid to make any offensive plays. Like a Backlund without any offense. I should say a mild, less effective Backlund. It's time to sit Richardson. My gord, plays die with him out there.

I expect Sutter will same the same thing as the last game. Missing empty nets is creeping into our game. Need to tighten up the screws.

Small consolation I know. Oilers on a 4 game loser. Make it 5 and the jerseys will come out.

Unfortunately Tkachuk and Backlund and Hanifin have been the most common on the ice when we lose in OT. Not always together (one game was). I would think that a guy like Ruzicka with that xtra space could fly. He's looked good without the puck too. Sutter doesn;t quite trust him yet.

Need to rethink the OT strategy. It ain't working. I would be happy with Monahan, Gaudreau and Kylington. Then Mangiapane, Lindholm, Ras. That's about it. The rest play it like it's take a low % shot time or just dump it when you don;t have a play.

He blew the easy turnover. But it was Tkachuk out there with Lindy and Kyl. Markstrom blew that. Should not have gotten by him.

About the only positive is the Oilers lose in regulation. We gain another point.

Canes are really good on the forecheck. We used to be.

Tkaschuk with another missed net. It may have been a hack on the hands though.
