Sharangovich and Kozmenko look like the real deal.

    Kylington was ok

Those guys all poised to mess with our rebuild lol.  Some positives.  We don't really want a 19 year old winger to emerge as a star right now, I feel like it wouldn't be the right time and we'd have to ship them off if they did.

I'm cutting Shilly some slack, since he displaying a lot of good things.  He went from a man on man defense last time he player 2 seasons ago to zone, without a single pre-season game or camp.

Sharky and Kuz are both players that make this team look better than they are most nights.  I found it funny that Zary was tasked with playing C, going up against the McD or Nuge.

Unfortunately, though the GM recognizes the need to rebuild, I suspect he will be looking to make the playoffs this coming season.  He will sign a top 4 D if one is available and less than 30.  He will no doubt be looking for a top 6 C.  I just hope that whatever he is planning on adding, it's recognizes the need for them to be long term plans not immediate.

With what is likely going to be a top 10 pick, I think the Flames have to find a player with dynamic qualities. They just can’t play it safe.

They don’t have that top end talent in the system, no top line forwards, no first pairing defensemen. Not sure that that player will be available at 8-10 in this draft, but they need to at least take a swing at one.

I haven’t had a chance to watch the players available in this draft enough to know who to go after.

The safe player option is so mundane for us to consider.

They might be a good player long term and have a good NHL career, but is that enough?

Monahan was a safe pick and could have been a great pick if injuries hadn't derailed his career.

Tkachuk was a strong pick, but we managed a top 5 pick that year.

Unless we have a shot at a top pairing D potential this year, I would lean towards a risky F.

More towards a C or C/RW than anything on LW.

Iggy Jr is a sentimental pick and probably a safe one.

Would the name alone make fans question the logic of it?

    what are the negatives?

we lost a totally meaningless game to the regular season fairy, move up in the draft, didn't injure anyone, and we still get to watch them fizzle out in the playoffs when it matters.

It's not like beating the Oilers is anything to write home about anyway.

I was referring to a loss in the earlier part of the season can have some positives.

Like your young goalie got reps and didn't crap the bed.

Or you developed a young winger become a NHL full timer.

We didn't bother with those two scenarios in this meaningless game.

The negatives?  We didn't shut up the Oiler fans in the building.

We had to listen to Louie call another Douche-bomb goal.

Even though it was deflected off Rooney's head.

Yes Louie. Perry chose to come to Edmonton… also, his contract wasn’t terminated, and more than one team wanted him. 😂

LOL i was saying the same thing here when Loui was playing the "I know it all" what's inside every players mind.

It's sad that we have to put up with him on a Flames broadcast from home.

HNIC has to play even Steven of course.

Unfortunately, Singh is neutral to Louie's homerism.

I need some more Pospisil. Where you at man? Wouldn’t mind a few elbows tonight! 😂 j/k of course. Ruffle some feathers like we know you do!

He got a talkin to from Huska.

But I don't think it was full hearted.

Place close to the edge, man.

    Just know where the edge.

Tkachuk learned it, but Tkachuk also didn't need to play hard to stay in the lineup.
