Sutter says a lot of things about the backup in pressers that don't really mean what they sound like. Wants the team to have his back, as if he's not able to steal games. Wants the goalie to be more than just a backup in case they need it. Just my opinion of course, but I laugh at the way the media interprets his comments.

Yeah, he said he could sew up a cow faster. Roster note - Ruzie is not in California. So, read into that what you may. I expect to see a waiver movement sometime next week. Not sure why BT didn't do it before TDL, but then again, if he's making a trade, it's a player out and one in. Or a guy already in the AHL.

Well, if it was me.... Top line Coleman-Backlund-Jarny Mange-Ruzie-Toffoli Lucic-Monahan-Lewis/Dube Sorry, but I think that Dube hasn't earned a spot any more than Ruzie has. The advantage is he can play 3 positions. Lewis can play 2. Jarny and Coleman can swap sides if they like. Jarny can take strong side draws. 4th line is speed with Dube and defensive with Lewis. EDIT - the big reason Ruzie isn't on the roster is due to roster. Not flexible the way it is. Maybe the coach is not as high on Ruzie but the last moves with him were for roster purposes, not play.

For the most part, I like the lines. Wish they could find a fit for Dube. Hasn't been able to play on the Grind Line as a RW. Not good enough defensively to play on Backlund's line. One good game so far as a C with Mange.

Would be a nice time to not have to travel for a B2B 2nd game, but I digress. I was just thinking it wasn't an entitlement issue. That seems to be 100% gone. I don't even really think they were looking ahead. Sutter and the team always seem to be in the moment. It sucks to lose 1-0 in OT on a broken play. But we took a point in a game we didn't score in. That's pretty rare.

Bailing already? A loss on 3v3 is not something that is real in playoffs. You don't play for the tie and try to win 3v3. COL loses to NJ and is shut out by CAR. Previously loses 2-1 to ARI. So what. Games are tougher to win, and teams outside the playoffs are playing to beat teams like CGY and COL. Personally. I like our chances now over the time we won the division. A decent lead in the standings, but not comfortable. Nothing is good enough after a win. Have elite goaltending and a PK that is crushing it. Most times in a close game we come out on top.

I'm not saying I loved the game. Frustrating to watch, but I didn't see an entitlement problem. Tkachuk was not great, but not full of himself. Lindholm couldn't win a draw, which was huge in OT. He lost the most against Cody Eakins if I remember correctly. The guy was out there for the two draws we lost in OT. Did we even get possession in OT?

I'm not sure where you are coming from. We didn't score on our chances. How is that an entitlement problem? If you get a chance, watch Sutter's post game. He doesn't talk about it the same way as even some of our wins. Hard fought, gave up the middle at times, hard to score in March. Missed opportunities. Got an important point. I'm not going to put lipstick on it. We lost in OT to a team that won more than it lost this month. They certainly didn't play like a team coming off a B2B. Their defense kept us to the outside for the most part, but we didn't convert when we got in close. But it was embarrasing to watch the refs in this one. Guddy high sticked in full view, and refs miss it. Gaudreau hoked on the breakaway, no worse than the play that Lindholm drew one, again no call. Mangiapane pushed headfirst into the boards, nothing. We get 3 calls against at critical moments, so we end up sitting people. We don't get the calls for when we are pressing, so no additional pressure comes.

Impressed so far. Perhaps the best scoring chance in the game came off his stick. Saying that, his overall game got better as the night went along.
