  1. I think I have 37. Checked on NHL.COM David Pastrnak - BOS - 0 Sebastian Aho - CAR - 3 Johnny Gaudreau - CGY - 1 Matthew Tkachuk - CGY - 1 Elias Lindholm - CGY - 1 Nathan MacKinnon - COL - 3 Cale Makar - COL - 3 Mikko Rantanen - COL - 3 Jonathon Huberdeau - FLA - 0 Sam Reinhart - FLA - 0 Kevin Fiala - MIN - 0 Kaprizov - MIN - 3 Chris Kreider - NYR - 2 Mika Zibanejad - NYR - 2 Jordan Kyrou - STL - 1 David Perron - STL - 4 Vlad Tarasenko - STL - 2 Victor Hedman - TBL - 4 Kucherov - TBL - 3 Steven Stamkos - TBL - 1 Again, I don't care. Just wanting to be accurate. RobRob seems intent on winning with Oilers. Blech.
  2. I almost expect Zaddy to drop em with Klingberg. Ignite the torch. Naw, no point. Beat em everywhere else. The guy is a little Swede even Backlund could handle. Zaddy is saving up for a tilt against COL or Minny. Won't waste his time against EDM or LA (since they don't really scrap).
  3. Now if we could only get him to get rid of the Big Save Dave thingy on his sig. Maybe something like Johnny Laser Eyes or Darth Vladar. LOL
  4. If I ain't replying to you, means I agree. Coleman is going to be a long playoff option. He has a difficult role right now and can't up his minutes quite yet. I don't know. HAs he had much playoff minutes? It seems like even our 2nd unit has too many guys that could be on. Hanifin, Kylington, Dube, Lucic, Jarnkrok, Toffee, Mange. I think the top unit could use a 2nd C. LHS. Have two C's on 2nd unit, LHS and RHS. I didn't include Backlund, since he doesn't look to have found his offence. He's playing some soft minutes along with his impressive shutdown minutes.
  5. You only get one wash per playoff season. Johnny just re-started growing his playoff scruff. Hope he continues the tradition of getting his Pops to the game area. Maybe Guy would like a trip to Dallas to see the Texas versions of cowboys.
  6. Sutter is playing it cool. Nothing about us playing a better game or any of that. It's 1-0. Neither team played it 100% great. Too many bad calls. The entire team needs to fight for that inside ice. Tkachuk does it every game. Johnny can do it. Let's open a can of woop-arse on them. Not by the score, but by the play. Show them who's boss.
  7. Wow. That's impressive. If he was a NAS prospect, he would be playing Game 2 for them. We are set for a few years, I would say.
  8. I think we figured out the Oilers. We outplayed them in game 1 and lost. The 2nd game we outplayed them for the most part, but got behind on a pick play that resulted in the go-ahead goal. Games 3 and 4 were Flames domination. They won't be getting the number of penalties they did even in the last BOA. First round is setting a tone so that teams don't go nuts. Even in R1, the calls in the first disappear in latter part of the game.
  9. Dallas adjusted and got to the guy with the puck quicker. The goal was a three banger. Faceoff win to player 1, to player 2 to Lindy. Boom. Took 5 seconds. Gaudreau on the RW often seems to work out better. Maybe just use Mange instead of Toffee? Toffoli on the LW side works, but so does Lindholm. I don't know. The 2nd unit with Backlund doesn't look effective very often.
  10. I mean we aren't going out of our way to fight him. Ras won't be fighting him. Will Tkachuk target him? For sure. Him and everyone else.
  11. EDM may think they have solved the riddle. We can score! We don't have to play defensively, just score. LA scores on either of those chances in the first and it's over. Smith did exactly what he always does. I'm not changing, so you better bail me out. LA wants to score, they need 2nd chances with Smitty on his face.
  12. From a defensive side of game 1, it was a well played game. No gripes from me. Losing Ras probably hurt the PP a bit, but it has struggled at times in the weeks leading up to the playoffs. Once we get set, we have the puck for the next 30 seconds. But shot volume seems to suffer a bit. Maybe it's just nobody open, but we are passing up shooting lanes in favor of a pass. It looks structured, but doesn't seem to encroach on the net, just stick to the same areas. It's probably just a function of the team we are playing. They are good in the middle of the ice. But, I think we could do more to create some chaos. Get them out of the box.
  13. He has no reason to be scared. He wasn't targeted by anything other than being a D on the boards. He wanted the fight, and Andersson didn't want Coleman to be the guy to beat him down. A smart coach wouldn't let him near the media.
  14. He's an actual sports writer, unlike the usual fanbois up north. I find it odd that he would even bother with the story. Did Ras run over his cat?
  15. I saw a clip, but didn't know when it occured. Smith was in his crease but on the edge. A LA player touched him. He fell backwards like he was shot. Not, sure but I suspect it was a LA penalty. I think that may be the acting Sak was talking about.
  16. The team dismissed it. If they come after any player, there will be a response. It's what we do. NAS tried it, but it didn't work out for them.
  17. Smitty after a shutout is a big concern, but EDM won a playoff game. Smitty's first win since he went to EDM. LA will be electric. LA is used to over the top fans, so it's EDM that will be at a disadvantage. I don't think the score in last night's game is an indication of EDM turning the corner. If they score first, they are difficult to beat.
  18. He's just stirring up crap. Strange because he doesn't comment negatively on Flames much. I thought it was a fake twitter account, but it turned into a BOA. I guess he feels that he's too big for his britches. Didn't like the "BOOM", I guess. He's paid to pass on management narratives. Not exactly a free thinking guy. When the Oilers were going through coaching or management issues, he seemed to support everything they put out.
  19. Here's a tweet from Oilers hack Gregor. He is one of the worst for being a paid Oilers mouthpiece. Gets his instructions from Oilers management. Jason Gregor @JasonGregor Klingberg dropping a truth bomb. Andersson is one of biggest pretenders in the NHL. Great to have some personality and rivalries in the playoffs. More please.
  20. The first PP had Ras. After he got the boot, there wasn't the same setup. It didn't look as dangerous.
  21. The refs took control in day 1 and 2. At times a little overboard, but then they miss some obvious ones of the same standard. I am sure the refs huddle before a period and go over the standard, but one guy seems to take it upon himself to call something that is borderline. Just make the same call every time; it's all the coaches want. It seems that the game gets away from them and they need to drag it back, but usually at one team's expense. Did you see where Draisaitl was on the GWG? Not in the zone when the gaff happened. Past the red line. Skated back leisurely and went behind the net after the puck was gone. Then just kind of floated near the circle. Three Oilers back. 2+1 Kings in causing pressure. Last ones back, other Oiler forwards including the C.
  22. And I am happy that you were more right than me. I thought too much of several teams. Gave them more credit than they deserved.
  23. Unless it's another parade to the penalty box, the Oilers are going to be in tough to grind it to 7.
