Usual story. Flames taking it to a team for stretches, but only one goal. And that was a shortie. Flames killed off 2 penalties. If we don't get another goal soon, we have to be perfect.

Impressive play by Gio. Francis "player undressed by Gio". Player in question, Lucic. That's good but I wouldn't call it undressing anyone.

I think this season reminds me of games where we get down by a goal and are heading into the 3rd period. We get one back then give up another. The season will be close but will just miss by 1 point.

Regardless of where we end up at the end of the season, this is one team I want to see spanked. Does not prove a darn thing, but is a feel good thing and shuts up the Leaf fans that buy Dome seats for this one game. Blue in a sea of red clashes. It's uglier than Oilers, because they don't know what color Walmart Oiler jersey to wear. So, it's orange, dark blue, white with faded orange and blue. A win tonight gives BT no real indication of what he should do. We have been better when we brought in AHL players. I'm not sure what that says about the team. What do they need? What is the goal?

We played well against a tired team and well against some of the league best. We also flopped against some of the same teams. They sometimes play conservative against us and just limit to outside. We can expose that. The lotto teams are just building their teams. If we used young-uns for those games, we would maybe see better results. Speed kills and we lack speed in some situations. Slow movement from the D-zone. Dump and chase and losing possession. Really slow getting back. Ever watch Lucic after a O-zone shift where they are putting pressure on? Like he is skating to the bench after a whistle. He only moves fast in one direction. We see really bad plays where we are on one guy and there is a loss of other players. In man on man coverage, that shouldn't happen.

Wills is suggesting that the signs are there they will run with Markstrom to get him back on track. I guess that makes sense. Run the goalie with the worst record. Expect him to get better. Really it is all about having faith in the guy that let you down. He's the starter so prove it.

I think the playoff chances are better than our chances to get into them. Odd, but we wear teams down. We tend to knock a player out of the lineup. In a 4-7 game set, we could easily take out two or three players.

Combine the hit with Mangiapane within 2 feet of him. That leaves 3 guys open. You don't go for the hit but he was using it as a defensive play. Didn't work in either case. I agree both seems to be overplaying it. Which is odd, because a lot of goals are little movement on the shot. Wave at puck. That kind of thing. But yeah, fundamentals seem to be off.

They gave up their top offensive D for a shutdown D. Helps with the goals against, but impacts their scoring. Better D all in all. But NAS plays with structure, so will he even fit

I find it odd that medium danger shots are going in too frequently. We limit high danger and get burned by medium ones? Something has changed in the structure or playbook in front. But when goalies are beat regularly by shots like inside far post, or upper corners you have to wonder. Too many times the goalies are losing their spot in the net. What used to miss the net is now in the net. Goalies playing too deep or on their knees.

I really don't know whose decision it was to sit the hot goalie and go with the starter. It was as simple as that. Up to the All Star break, Valadar was fine and actually better than just fine. 1-2-1 and one pull since then. Marky is 2-2-3, one of the OTL being a replacement. The 5 goal DET loss, the Vegas goals against (OTL) and the 2 goals against BOS are the bad. The coach's decisions seem to have brought out the worst ion the goalies. Sutter has zero faith in Vladar, whether he is playing better or worse than the starter. Frustrating to Vladar, where he to be perfect or not get the coach to run him.

And Korpisalo went to the Kings for Quick. Was other parts, but another one off the market. We could recycle Talbot at a cost. \Want to hear something crazy? Campbell has a .884 SA% a 3.48 GAA and a 17-8-4 record. Skinner is .912 a 2.91 GAA and is 15-13-4 Score one more goal per game and we aren't fretting about goalies as much. We make backups look like stars. There is more than just one problem here. The talent was there in nets and somehow got skewered. We dominate games except on the scoreboard. When we barely show up, it's lopsided. We can win enough games to get in. But I don't think we have the right coach to get there.
