I like the old game more than the new game. It was more of a physical game. The way the league and society are talking, they will be playing unisex with tennis rackets soon. 'The best offense is a good defense' but that doesn't seem to be good enough for the modern speed addicts, and the seasoned players get prematurely thrown on the scrap pile. It's not Sutter's fault either. The new players on the roster should be ready to play the coaches game. What's with that?

As for trashing Sutter, I am not there. That article where our best player, Toffoli, indicates that Sutter is the best coach he has ever had? I wonder if Treliving should have Sutter pick players that don' t cry about a 'defence first' style i.e. Kadri, Huberdeau. Maybe trade or sell Hube to Montreal; they still owe us for Monahan. Hube wants to play there/they want him. Kadri just ain't that good; he has a good shot. Since when has he been a super star?.. Anyway Or maybe Treliving should look for something else?

It's a hard row to hoe in Sutter's game but it's still the style of game I like. I don't like the constant dump and chase, and the seeming lack of creativity but I still like his work ethic, and a defencive approach. Lanny on the interview said to keep the shots coming, and hit the net. I say aggresive energy not reactive energy. Don't play hot potato. Is it Marchand or Bergeron who sinks 68% of his shots? When you get inside the castle walls, have a head... and save a move for the goalie. We all wish they could have started playing like lately but earlier in the season. It wouldn't be such a nail biter just to try to make the POs.

Nah. I gave up trying to tell the future; Lost money in the futures market trying to do that. It is what it is. The weather is what it is supposed to be. The climate is what it is. I am merely trying to watch a game without having a neuro breakdown, or a stroke😎

Remember, putting aside the great skill of the players, hockey is 90% a game of mistakes and bounces. If the team would have had lucky rather than unlucky bounces in those places, they would be looking more like a titan than a tit. It can still pay off. I would rather be half full than half empty; it feels better and is easier on my ulcers. Half full of BS you might say😃

Absolutely 🦈 Kipper was a shark. Sutter knew that. One goal from a Cup (and it was in). Has anybody ever run a grid on a computer program to prove the angle that that puck was in? I will never concede that goal until I see a computation on a grid.

Exactly. A hot streak. Vlad can back up. I see all the big numbers of games that need to be won but in small bites; Flames win 5, chased team loses 5. That has happened before. Everybody can't win, cuz sometimes, sometimes, you gotta lose. Bad News Bears, Mighty Ducks... Kipper the Keen played most of the season himself.

Clinching really late is not optimum but what can you do? It's also entertaining to get in the playoffs nice and early but 8 teams are out in the first round; sometimes the powerhouses. The cup is the only entertainment that matters in the end.
