  1. Jacob 'Skid' Markstrom It seems like his head is elsewhere. I can see him going back to Sweden with his new bride next year. Vladar will start next year, and hopefully most of the rest of this season. Try out Wolfe.
  2. Skid Markstrom oops I mean Jacob Markstrom is having a tough go of it this season.
  3. Hooray, I got my original username back.I was oldschoolplayer and bombcomputers because I couldn't sign in as my old original name nevermissashift. For some unknown reason nevermissashift is showing up again. Hopefully it will stay that way for good now๐Ÿคช
  4. Well don't take your hats off. Tomorrow is a 4 point game with Kracken.
  5. Huber has a swagger. He has a strength that should help in the playoffs. If he gets gassed abnormally fast, that next line will need to have a guy with lots of gas so he can come off earlier. Backland was gassed for the OT losing shift laast night. That didn't help any. It might be the other way around, huber helps Lucies game. Tbat line looked pretty decent to me last night. I like to think that players who comprise my team have come together for a reason... to bolster one and all which facilitates flowing success. Good game. Huber needs to shoot when he has the puck in the sweet spot, with coverage. Sutter saw that like the rest of us did (as indicated in his post gamer). Huber knows too.
  6. dec 22 LA, huberdeau could have ended the game a few times. excellent player who needs to shoot more when he is in the sweet spot. nice recovery from 2 goals down to earn a point. good game. will be watching the game with anaheim tomorrow.
  7. toffee's goal worked. he acted his shot to the glove side and sliced it above the stick in mid stream! Nice nice huber feed to lindy onetimer, beautifully etc.
  8. For a single guy there should be a full store house๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. That's sure true except they might like their hockey star home, and maybe him too want to go home๐Ÿ˜Š I know there is a big push to deny ethnicity and race but some still naturally love home and who they are. Nothing wrong with that. Chuck and John went home. Albeit Chuck to the sun and beachโ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒž
  10. Judging by what a few guys have said about Huber when the Flames played in Montreal, does his presence in Calgary seem like just a stepping stone home? Should we read much into that. It sounded like a we/they thing to me. I hope that's not the case.
  11. just a bit at a time. a bit too easy to rape ones savings. can't hide a bit in Blasty's mouth.
  12. THUMBS UP AND LIKE๐Ÿ‘ for you moderator! You said it all. The point I was going to make fits in there somewhere; they shoot mostly from the points or wide in the circle. THE AREA OF THE NET GETS SMALLER AND SMALLER THE WIDER YOU GO GO GO! Ya, rush the net somebody. All us us have watched and played enough hockey to know that creativity is paramount, and, "When you go to the net, GO TO THE NET. Don't dipsy doodle lolly gag your way there. It'll start happening.
  13. that is dang well true but are you keeping positive? i'd like to see Huber tuck one of those nifty back passes into the net. now that's creativity.
  14. Thats right you get it, and sometimes lead the goalie into the move after deke, and then the quick final move. Ya Raz can seem to pull the goalie kinda out of the net and it looks like he's going to simply go around him but he raises it; too much room, not enough goalie ๐Ÿ˜ I like how you put it, "... they lose the thoughts in the moment." That is what they have to practice, coming in tightly covered, and fast, and have those thoughts embossed in their minds as part of the play. I think all of them are capable of it. Practice it.
  15. Having moves that work isn't simple, it's 99% half mental, and it takes a lot of effort to act.
  16. i don't think its merely having a move; its what i said above; GREED? the common approach to the shootout by so many players is not really fantastic; that lollygagging serpentine is flippin useless (negative); just a little bit less than entertaining. When would that happen in hockey? creativity is icon in hockey. can't understand anything else.
  17. All the players need to have 3 effective 'moves' for the goalie. Practice them All the time. Whenever an opportunity arises with the goalie, the little voice says, "I have an act for you buddy." Good acting convinces the goalie, then you lie to him again by changing backhand to forehand once... or quickly back again but then raise it even though your body lies that it is going along the ice; Slicing or pulling a change up in mid shot after you act that it's going glove, you lie midshot and pull it into the stick corner high; Your body form says the puck is going to go low, then you curl the stick with your finger and up it goes. The neat thing about it is you can choose to go where you are acting or not, if the goalie is cheating, or out of position. Act, convince, lie. You've got all those things going for you! Nobody can react that fast once they have committed to your act, your performance, your midstream lie ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿคฅ
  18. I might like the sounds of that red line rule in 3 on 3 OT. The shot clock idea might create anxiety and foolish plays. The 10 minute OT would be OK as a replacement for the shootout spectacle (it's not hockey). I would be all for losing the shootout spectacle altogether, even while keeping the 5 minute sudden death with 4 on 4. 3 on 3 isn't a part of the game either. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A TIE. This extra point thing is not professional. Maybe the post Betman era with return to more credibility. All what I think is a positive opinion of course.
  19. I think it's to early to put it in high gear. Keep laying things out and building while there is lots of time. The time we want to see the throttle pulled too max is just before the playoffs, and right through the cup.
  20. 3 games 3 points slipped away. i am hoping (and the flames too i bet) that they gel defensively and in scoring goals for the playoffs right through to cup champions. ... and i must add goaltending too. that's alot of things to come together all at the right time, and that is what the team, coach, and managment are planning, and what we are seeing, and hoping for. It's fun watching a team develop.
