  1. Yes he can go to the A. It's already happening with other collegiate level players and soon with jrs as their season's close out.
  2. Coronato's teammate Henry Thrun (2019 Anaheim 4th rd) has signed and ELC with SJS.
  3. I was carrying one of the axles when a wheel came off a while back. But then another wheel came off and I was overcome by exhaustion.lol The Flames and Wings are sure opposite spectrum of expectation. One is losing their minds, the other is, yup, let's go boys, get some more prospects. Detroit is now 7yrs of no playoffs for the "burn it down" crowd. Still in the hopeful phase. Looks promising, but far from guarantees. It would appear someone has to back into that 8th seed though...
  4. TIL Coleman has a NTC until the 24-25 season when it becomes modified. But it's time to gather up the lists of the other modified NTCs.
  5. Yeah you're definitely being silly. If you're dumb, we all are. Wolf has all of us in heavy wonder. I'm with you, personally. Could sense the team was bizarre all year. Changes wouldn't have hurt. We've been noticeably out of it for a long time waiting for square pegs to fit round holes.
  6. The guys that I mentioned are pretty fair contracts right now, but we've gotta stop taking it the to the finish line. We have to turn over roster the right way sometimes with hockey trades. We really never do. Spend picks and sign FA's should be about 4th and 5th on the list for a small market team. It's not a sustainable plan. But that's been the plan. Definitely need a, "step back and re-assess".
  7. You must be a masochist. Do you really want a 7 to 10 year plan? The Panarin's and Eichel's aren't going to be racing to Calgary to help. It'll take forever. Most draft picks are 3 years minimum, so 3 good heavy drafting years is still a 6-9 year trickle. With no guarantees. Not sure that I love your plan, maybe sleep on it.lol For me, it's just important to exercise exit strategies on Backlund, Tanev, Coleman, Hanifin and likely others. We can't be a retirement home nor lose players for little or nothing or overpay them. That already got us here. There are definitely zero irreplaceable players on our roster, a large contingency of fans it seems need to watch other team's players and see equivalents. We're simply not very good, without naming names. We all want them to be. But it isn't the reality. Then also, you can't just throw your hands in the air and say get rid of everything. It's not all bad, I doubt it's as bad as it seems.
  8. Well jfc Mich Tech, you're just not gonna wake up for this game are you? Down 3-0 and just can't get going to Penn State's pace. I get that Michigan will slaughter both of you, but damn, show up. Tomorrow and Sunday games will be great hockey when this thing becomes 8 teams.
  9. Also awaiting the Wings inking Carter Mazur and Shai Bulum after Denver was dispatched yesterday. Both would be jrs next year like Coronato.
  10. oof, just caught the highlights between periods, OSU ripped them apart. It was 7-0 after 1.
  11. Yeah I kept it fairly low-key that they had little chance against a Big 10 team. Didn't expect a serious BTC-slap, but I'd have been surprised if they beat Ohio State, a team that is vet-laden and has been thorny most of the season. Work got in the way of watching, but Michigan Tech's in a good tilt with Penn State rn.
  12. What could possibly go wrong between the GM and the Coach on different wavelengths?
  13. Cornell(10) keeps the underdog train rolling, taking out last year's champ Denver(3). St. Cloud(7) keeps not letting the other team score, but now they have Minny(1) and that's not going to end well. MacAllister's W.Michigan(9) fell apart to end their season and it continued, falling 5-1 to BU(5).
  14. We're saving our first winning streak for when we're officially eliminated.
  15. Maybe have a guy in front of their goalie at all times?
  16. 1-1 Jets-Ducks. That fat lady's warming up her vocals.
  17. Not a chance. Husso has hidden a lot of bad already, he's the guy. Don't need a fat contract.
  18. I wonder if D would have interest in Vladar, need a backup/potential 1a/1b with Husso at a decent cap hit.
  19. She's a tight race for the bottom 10. Cheering losses and an interesting offseason.
  20. They don't make CDN viewing easy. TSN+ or stream, lest you have ESPN.
  21. It's actually closer for active players. College has about a 2-1/1.5 ratio on each of CHL and Europe, who are about even. I'm guessing this year's CHL grads will be the last that were impacted by the virus implications. Which would have been my main concern. Of course there is also a world of camp invites as well. But I've noticed there are some CHL pegs that have been signed to ELCs, which makes sense due to the pandemic. Doucet to the Wings, Burke to the Preds, Sedoff to Vegas. Guessing it'll get a bit busier.
