  1. You are absolutely certain that there is a 0% chance of a resurgence? I'm still struggling to say that's a foregone conclusion to be honest. Easily our best at the dot, even with hip and wrist disabilities. I thought he did a lot pretty well last year. Even though that shot wasn't there. I think that you're impatient. You'll LOVE a rebuild.lol
  2. I agree. I'd be shocked if we can't clear waivers on dmen. Every team has this problem. If you wanna vulture on that, you'll be in big trouble with 31 other GMs. They all rely on each other and respect each other as managers. As I've said before, "why didn't they get him off of waivers last week for free rather than trade for him this week"? It's because 30 other old boys are watching how you conduct your business, prolly more like over 90 adding in owners,POHOs and consultants. There is no place for pirates. We'll clear everyone. We're in very good standing. Thank Brian Burke imho.
  3. The pp needs some consideration for sure. Hopefully the kickback dies off considerably with JG gone in favour of balancing o-zone entries with more than one trick.
  4. I might just be the last person doing that, which really makes it hilarious for me. The implied accusation gave me a huge laugh. Can I say trigger, rigger, tigger? lol Just don't say sFull Nodeer, because I live on the border of the soft white underbelly of the USA. Too funny. I'm Canada. I don't give a flying Blockchain about that stuff. Never have, never will. I find it hilarious. Literally me. Of all people. Blockchaining hilarious. You have no idea of the full weight of this.lol The absurdity is hilarious.
  5. Explained above.lol Okay. So if this isn't where I'm going, why am I being led there? Colour me shocked.
  6. Stigger? Now replace the t with an n. Wow, really?
  7. SFull Nodeer must be a bad word.lol
  8. That’s how i remember it.phnaar phnaar sFull Nodeer sFull Nodeer.
  9. PK 1 Huberdeau-Lindholm Weegar-Tanev Massive threats on turnovers, you better be conservative. PK 2 Mangiapane-Backlund Hanifin-Andersson. Be careful. Our pk is a legitimate threat to score. Bottom 6 need to hold the play to 0-0 or 5-5, either way.
  10. Tell me you've watched Florida games without telling me that you've watched Florida games. When Huberdeau hit his stride a few short years ago, he was the most deeply underrated player at the time. What? 2-3 years ago? Now it's ALL on Barkov(my fave player) to be ultra-creative without him. Should be interesting. Ever seen JH pp AND pk? Okay, well. Get ready to see it. AAAALLLLL situation player (directed @ everyone).
  11. At the end of the day, a Huberdeau-led team will be better than a JG-led team imho. I think the best way to put it: JG gets angry. He sulks and squawks. Nobody, but nobody, cares about him forechecking without the puck, he avoids any physicality. He's a great 30g 60a guy. JH gets angry. He terrorizes. He will fight you. He will hawk you. He will level you on the forecheck and take the puck. He's a great 30g 60a guy. So which would you rather. Also: JG: walked away. His choice, life is beautiful. JH: feels Blockchained over. He'll be driving nails this year to fill Panthers fans with outrage. This is going to be so fun to watch. I think only Panarin is a better LWer than Huberdeau. Is he better than a deeply offended Huberdeau? Hmmmm....
  12. I was hoping for 6 x $5.5. I'm more than happy with 3 x $5.8. He'll be going into his 29yr old season needing a contract. I'm more than happy with that. A 35 goal season when everyone and their dog hitting career highs isn't a great basis to hand out term like candy. I just didn't think it would be a 3 year, but I'm extremely happy that it is. We have his prime years and we have potential on ELCs right now where I'm really not sold on Mangiapane being more than a 3rd liner when this expires. My hope is that we'll be moving ahead with a good young top 6 by then (besides Huberdeau). And those 20 assists stick out like a sore thumb. I read that as very little playmaking ability, successful at cleaning up around the crease. Even at that, how long is that sustainable for a smaller player? BT is doing a really sound job managing. He is by no means short-sighted. There is room here for current and near-future prospects. Lindholm also runs out turning 30. This is how you don't run into a rebuild, by not backing yourself into a corner with guys expiring in their twilight (Coleman/Toffoli). Also Tanev, but he is legend right now, turning 33 this season, turning 35 in his no contract year. If he can get, Huberdeau and Weegar at 5 years at elevated cap hit, I'll love BT forever. I'm a big fan of shorter terms, knowing the quality of 20yr olds these days. Sorry for the wall of text, but I'm excited, I love both of these recent signings. Don't get too far ahead, just stop handing out picks like candy, finally.
  13. Yup. 2-way, has the $750,000 confirmed yet? Good hard-nosed center. Worth the cost easy to keep going. Let’s face it, Kyl had a good leap in one offseason. Is he perfect? God no. But that was a significant attitude adjustment for him. Who’s next? Stupid late bloomers.lol My money’s on Meloche. Pospisil definitely stays in the mix though. Him, Rozie, Zary, Schwindt and Kerins is a pretty good C mix.
  14. Boris Katchouk is another low risk I’d like to take a chance on. He’s edgy but needs better chances than “maybe” TBay’s 4th line. He’s in Chicago now. He’s a Thomas-type edgy player but LW. Just no opportunity yet. TBay was deep and hired vets. Never gave him much of a chance. For, say, Zary, I’d do that. Chicago gets a younger prospect.
  15. Nobody knows that. Kucherov, Terry, Kyrou, Thomas etc weren’t blue chippers. Fox in the 3rd rd? Nobody knows a blue chipper until they are one.
  16. Well the Pelletier, Coronato, even Zary, Scwindt, Poirier, Kuz could come along. Wolf. We’re not dead yet. lol
  17. It just shows those little, “it’s only a 2nd” things thay may have set us up a little better in the right now. We’re close but for little mistakes down the line. Like most teams.
  18. When Tanev expires I believe.
  19. Agree. That’s a tidy deal. I was hoping for this range and 2 years. I don’t think many have huge faith in him but I do. I think he’ll get better.
  20. We just won our division. And maybe got better by losing our 2 primadonnas. That's contending.
  21. Ottawa had a good 2nd rder in 2017 in Alex Formenton. I believe him and Jokipakka for Curtis Lazar. Ahhhh the things we do....
  22. St. Louis does well with not high picks. Pietrangelo was 4th oa, but I can't think of anyone else. Parayko, Kyrou, Thomas was a high 1st, Kostin the same, Tarasenko a mid-1st.. Am I missing someone?
  23. Probably. But Buffalo, NJ, Detroit, ANA still have a lot to prove. I do get that Detroit is getting a lot better, but a lot better when horrible was the starting point still hasn't proven anything. I guess it comes down to whether the potential for 5 years of being horrible with no guarantee that it will end well is your cup of tea. It's not mine. We've already proven zero patience for that as an org.
