I think that we're already better. JG elevated? two already top line players. JH elevated middling guys. What can he do for our middling guys? We still need something, I just don't know what until play starts and we get some answers of how we can line up and JH's impact. But an easy JG replacement and our best Dman for Tkachuk does not bother me at all. Add a 1st and a really good prospect in Schwindt. Stellar trade. If JG hadn't led us on to death, maybe Trochek would have been fun to sign. But such is the predicament. We're coming out of it really well, I think.

If this is a vote, I'm not. He's not even on my radar. Love the way he plays, but it's just not realistic and I'm not, firstly, giving up picks for Lucic/Mony cap dumps, Secondly, picks for Barzal. I never want to see another draft like the 2022 one again.

Nope, nothing nefarious, just my watchlist of players. I'm probably most looking forward to Coronato, Wallinder and Viro. Everyone, but those 3 first. Wallinder has another season under contract in the SEL, so I've heard more about him than I've actually seen.

Yeah I doubt it. Barzal's a great C, but I just can't see it. Detroit can just wait on their futures. Need to extend Larkin and they're only a year or 2 from being a great young team. Buddy mentioned Edvinsson, that's a great big whatever. When Sebrango is behind Edvinsson, Johansson, Wallinder, Viro, Buium and probably McIsaac in D prospect depth, we can probably wait. The C prospect depth is thin, but that can be corrected without moving the top 3, likely 4 D prospects.
