      I can think of a good handful of players on the Ducks roster that can easily be defined as a 'loser' when it comes to their lack of character...

    I also listened to this interview live & he came across as a cuttthroat businessman prepared to hold the city hostage. I said to myself - Well take your smug attitude & move then. Further reflection made me realize these are empty threats. As if the Flames would move from a market like this because our arena is a few years older than all others. It's not ancient like the Forum, Garden, Joe Louis were. The new arena will get built but either the Flames or the City will need to bend over. Currently no one is budging.

    I will forego the light bulbs & thermostat and then any funding (your carbon taxes) that was directed toward these can go toward the clean-up. I bet someone could run with this & get 1000's to do the same.

    Here is a technical report that may answer many questions that this discussion regarding the creosote contamination glosses over. Read it & weep..... Site Characterization & Conceptual Site Model - Proposed;West Village Development;Area, Calgary, Alberta - Calgary Municipal Land Corporation In my opinion, the province should have cleaned it up when they built the containment wall in the mid-90's.

    SInce when is it up to the people of Calgary? Is he directing these comments at the Flames or the City? No tax dollars should go to this unless a generous return is guaranteed back to the city.

    Will the Hockey Gods forgive you if you cheer for the Nucks to beat the Kings? How low would one be stooping to cheer for their 31st favorite NHL team?

      If it's a 1 time thing done for the proper reason of gaining an easier/surer path to playoffs for your favorite team the hockey gods are going to understand.

      A 1 time act that disgusts is forgivable if done for a pure reason & this qualifies.

       

      BTW, I'll be rooting for the Kings to lose rather than the Orca to win in that rare 1 time circumstance myself. It's semantics but I prefer that phrasing.

      It's our out. Since under current rules guarantee that @ least 1 of the 2 gains points so I'd rather hope for the 1 that hurts my team the least (I do the same with some Met matchups) . I hope that the lesser of the 2 evils gets 2 points rather than have each gain (OT/SO).
