That reality is starting to set in..the regular season Flames may have peaked, there isn’t that next gear that elevates their level of play. They may have been built for the playoffs but they aren’t a team that performs in the playoffs. Primary concern with that is next game we have too many players trying to do too much..which can lead to even more bad penalties. End of the day they don’t need to make drastic changes , they just need to start getting goals on the power play and burying the chances. That’s been the difference this series.

Early in this thread I had asked if the Flames were already in “must win” territory. Guess we now know the answer 🤨

So who’s to blame if the Flames lose this series? The top line? Sutter? Treliving?…all of whom have been heaped praised all season for “turning this team around”…it’s a very close series but why haven’t the Flames for all these year been able to elevate their game when it matters most?

I give Dallas all the credit…I guess it’s been lonely at the top for the Flames. Underdog has carried all the momentum , Flames now in full desperation mode. Here we go again

Man…did not expect this series to alter my faith in this team as it has. Down 2-1 and I can’t say they’ve given me any reason to believe they were close to a deep playoff run. They’ve deserved every loss so far.

So frustrating watching this team enjoy success all season but always underperforming when it actually counts. It’s not over but it feels like we’ve all seen this movie before..stupid penalties, not capitalizing on opportunities…nothing to see here

Facts! Its imperative we steal atleast 1 game on this road trip. This game has all the makings of a “next goal wins” type game. We just need to win this 3rd period now! Let’s go Flames!

We’ve had success in this building..that 5-3 comeback win was a big point in the season…we just need be taking advantage of our opportunities again in the 3rd!

Reaally curious to know how this would be going if we were facing Nashville

Backs was my #1 concern going into the playoffs…he’s avoided taking ill timed penalties but he’s getting dominated out there, he’s not very strong on the puck. Sure he’s solid defensively but he has yet to elevate his game in the playoffs ..those lost draws are add up and are costly!

I see it too, we’re starting to maintain possession and our dump ins and forechecking are starting to shift things more in our favour

Rafl instigated that whole incident with Kylly…would be huge going into the 3rd with a regained lead
