jjgallow
Yeah. So, 31 goal scorer on a very mediocre OHL team, 6'1 R winger with some weight. He's got the shot, he's got the puck control. As far as I can tell, there weren't any goal scorers this good, this late in the draft without dipping into either the QMJHL or one of the Flames's later picks that they nailed. Looking like another great value pick to me. And yeah I may not do a separate post for every single pick but this guy definitely makes the cut.
travel_dude
Not bad for a late 2nd. D+1 will be interesting.
Thebrewcrew
Late in the 2nd, Battaglia has two assists in Kingston's season opener.
jjgallow
absolutely nailed this draft.
Thebrewcrew
5pts in two games from Battaglia. This is a draft class that's going to look very good in the spring. Think there are going to be a lot of massive d+1 seasons from this class.

conundrumed
Fun little start. 3G/4A/7pts in 3 games. The current CHL leader in points for drafted prospects. This year following Flames CHL prospects is going to be exceptional.

It's going to be a long season counting his scoring stats. That's a good thing. We will be drroling over it. Hope he has a good WJC. My bad, I was thinking this was a different player thread. It's an awesome start.
420since1974
He is trending into what many teams covet. A high scoring RW with great puck handling skills and decent size. He just has to improve his skating which is average at best right now. He appears to have learned some lessons at the Flames camp and it's showing in his hot start.
Thebrewcrew
Ottawa Kingston this afternoon. Mews and Battaglia. Should be fun.
jjgallow
was fun. Seriously....Flames just absolutely shattered the 2024 draft. Starting to think they did pretty okay in 2023 as well. But 2024...man. Everyone who I annoyed when I was complaining about drafting the last 10 years....it's not that the drafting was terrible, I just had high standards. High standards finally met. (Now 3 more years of it please)
