It is like i Said in the Detroit Game This team is alot Better then they Showed and can Be when they choose to play

You know that very few games do the Flames play start to finish the same way.

I have seen a couple of games all season that I would describe as their best effort.

Two games maybe three.

This was not one, but a good game and better result.

I would generally say that we win games when

a) Markstrom outplays the other team's goalie

b) We score enough to put the game out of reach

c) Have enough in the tank to battle back after a bad start

When we get a lead, we tend to take the foot off the gas.

Only a few times where we go for the touchdown.

When we take a ton of shots from the outside, we don't score much.

When we drive the net, we get goals.

Sure, we can win and win in tough games, but we have to do it every night.

No luxury to win every 2nd game or have wins followed by losses.

We need to be winning 3/4 or at least 2/3.

Have only done that onece this season and we dropped like a stone after it.

Eric Francis is Saying he doubts Marky is going anywhere cause Vladar and Wolfie arnt good enough to take over as number 1

Well, he cleared that up saying that if you look to the future you have to deal him.  He suggested that now may also not be the best time because in the summer you have 31 teams that might be able to make that trade.

And he said thet Wolf and Vladar had not shown enough to be considered a number 1.  Yet.

But I take Francis as a guy that reports the obvious, no real insight.

It's raining out.  EF reports chance of showers.

Sorry, but he isn't the guy to listen to.

Plugged in, but not a good reporter of anything that isn't obvious.

Exactly but he also Said Td unless the Deal is to good to pass up your not dealing him period

And if you think he has any idea, you would be wrong.

That's the way he feels, but doesn't speak for the GM.

What he should have said was that the GM is looking to make the best deal.

If it's not a good deal, he doesn't make it.

Doesn't have to blow him away.

Shilly lookin good out there, didnt take long to get up to speed. Makes losing any D men a little easier to digest.

When you consider we are likely losing 2 of our top 4 D (Hanifin  - Tanev) It becomes more important.

Read an article today that said Tanev might be getting offered an extension. When you consider how the team plays when he is injured then an extension might not be so bad.

The funny thing about Tanev was there was early discussion about an extension, and since then it's been reported that there has been zero contract extension talks.

If he was looking for a crazy number, as perhaps he should, then the Flames do the value calculation and figure out if they want to move forward.  I suspect it would have been done if they felt it was a good move.  But that's me, I have no idea what is really happening.
