Bad luck on the penalty.  Andersson drops his stick.  Had to make two attempts to swat at the puck with his glove.  Puck stuck to his glove.

And Johnny with a wide open net with under a minute to go in the 3rd.  It didn't even have to go into OT.

Need someone other than the top line to score.

didnt look like a penalty to me

That one gets called about half the time.

Initially he covered the puck but moved it.

Still a penalty.

On the plus side, we are tied for 2nd, but own the tie breaker with Minny.

And, Johnny now has 40 goals, is tied for 2nd in points and leads in +/- with +65.

Not to mention 90 EV points.  Nobody is close.

That is insane.

Johnny is ahead of Huberdeau by way of goals.

FLA is sitting out a few players it seems.

Need someone other than Backlund playing top minutes.

That guy has bumped down two players that were hot.

Can Sutter not see that?

The top line has hit 40-goals each.  Gaudreau winning the scoring title from McDavid is impossible...Final game, we should sit the top line because we need to challenge a second line to emerge with goals.

The so called 2nd line is minuses these days.

Not scoring, not preventing.

Mix it up for the final game.

And if Lewis is out, get Rozie in.

Crpenter was a wasted pick trade.

He would be down below Rozie in depth.

Ya. I will pray that Backlund has some other gear he’s saving for playoffs, though, not likely. On a positive note, Hanifin was a whipping boy for me last season, but this season he has been stellar. Stellar

Lastly, NSH has tied it up at 4-4.

NSH headed to OT. Almost won in regulation with a late PP - Forsberg hit the crossbar. NSH jumps back into WC1 and controls their destiny.

Rittich bailing out NSH in the third. NSH making many bonehead plays in their own zone. COL not looking comfortable with NSH. Apparently hits are something like 40-20 for NSH. Commentators saying the physical play is something COL doesn’t have an answer for.

NSH and Rittich win in Shootout. Patented poke check on the final shot from Rittich. Wow.

Regular season doesn’t mean much, but I believe COL has a losing record to both DAL and NSH.

For the top team, COL doesn't look very good.

Not the same team that beat us.

They lost on purpose probably.  They don't match up well against NAS physical game.

Players don't play to lose.

The coach could have sat the top players, but chose to go with all of them.

They were out in OT and in the shootout.

Interesting that Sutter talked about lost draws at 5v5 and PK costing us goals.

The team was below 50% overall, with only Backlund hitting above 50%.

Carpenter 17%, but I don't think he was on for any goals against.

Lost draw by Lindhol on the PP goal.

Then a loss draw by Backlund on the Freddie goal.

Then a lost draw in OT on the PK.

Could have used Lewis on the PK, or at least with Rozie being able to provide something.

I thought Carpenter was supposed to be this stud defensive player but he's turning out to be as vanilla as Richardson, Pitlick... And for that matter, Nordstrom, Reider, etc.  No question Sutter asked for RHS faceoff options and BT went out to get Jarnkrok and Carpenter.  Jarnkrok has good speed and coverage skills.  Carpenter is low energy and work smart but don't work hard.

Way better to play Ruzicka.
