Open to suggestions ie. a more traditional pool, goaltender pts; etc Or if someone else wants to run a pool? If interested make a post. Enough interest & pool will be a go. Don't write an essay as I will delete this thread when playoffs start. Don't post picks yet as format not written in stone. A possible format I am considering is as follows: Pick 20 players Everyone can pick same players. All pts, either goals or assists worth 1 At end of each round you can pick a new player to replace an eliminated one New picks will not have their previous round(s) pts counted but eliminated pick pts will carry forward. With this format you will still have 20 players right up to the Stanley Cup Finals. This eliminates the letdown commonly associated with the all-eggs-in-one-basket type pool player. Looks complicated but it couldn't be any simpler for the participant. Will only be slightly complicated for me & XL. A final tally might look like this: R1 original picks to SCF (R1 - R4 pts) R1 original picks eliminated in R1 (R1 pts) R1 original picks eliminated in R2 (R1 - R2 pts) R1 original picks eliminated in R3 (R1 - R3 pts) R2 replacement picks to SCF (R2 - R4 pts) R2 replacement picks eliminated in R2 (R2 pts) R2 replacement picks eliminated in R3 (R2 - R3 pts) R3 replacement picks to SCF (R3 - R4 pts) R3 replacement picks eliminated in R3 (R3 pts) R4 replacement picks to SCF (R4 pts) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For ease, it'd be easiest to just single pt goals and assists and leave out PP, PK, +/-, SOG etc. Goal would be hard as the playoffs narrow though. oops.
