Slim pickings. Others maybe on shaky ground: Torts in NY - but he always seems to survive. Next yr's hot seat: Minny's coach - Yeo, or Montreal's Therrien, Or Flyers' Lavvy.. and then the annual surprises. Best case scenario for him... take a year off. Collect the Canucks paycheck. Wait for the Habs to call next year. Perfect fit. I thought Therrien should of been gone this yr for his brutal display during the playoffs... but i guess he had a strong turnaround overall from last season despite the late season malaise and then poor playoff. A.V.'s competition pool: Retreads: Ruff, Ron Wilson, Andy Murray, J. I don't think Scotty Bowman in his prime could've won a Cup with the Canucks roster this season, or last season even. Gillis failed to turn a $5.3-mil back-up into a much needed Stud Dman or second line scoring sensation. In a playoff elimination game, they sat $5.3-mil on the bench. What a waste.
