Flyerfan52
Boston over Carolina Dallas over Columbus Phoenix over Nashville (OT) Edmonton over Colorado (SO) L.A. over Vancouver (OT) It's early in the season. WTF is this with using logic? You're probably closer to real outcomes the most of us. FF, you never have to explain why you are rooting against the Canucks. I'd root for them over the Pengies. C_worthy
But we know instead of watching any of these games all of you are going to be glued to the first episode of season 3 of "Oil Change" season 3 of Oil Change... just keep saying that to yourself over and over... season 3 enough said about the ineptitude of Oiler management (I am waiting for season 6, and then I am going to buy the DVD pack)
DL44
season 3 of Oil Change... just keep saying that to yourself over and over... season 3 enough said about the ineptitude of Oiler management (I am waiting for season 6, and then I am going to buy the DVD pack) Must be kinda depressing when you put it that way! Season 4 is a lock... wouldn't be surprised if there is a season 6. On a serious note tho... I wonder the goal is of producers of the show... do they have end date in mind? or is it performance based? Like till they return to the playoffs? Win a round in the playoffs? Or will this just become a permanent staple of the franchise, i.e. is a great revenue generator. At what point does the 'Oil Change' series become synonymous with rebuilding/failure? Because those type of jokes are out there - and nicely executed by c-w.. If we get it here, i just may set the PVR on it to see what their angle is.. bronco73
third straight loss now for my team. took San Jose to shootout, Vancouver to OT, and let Colorado walk all over them. This team has got to start learning how to win.

Boring Canadian Speaking of celebrating with teammates... this was awesome to me.. the Locker room of a team full of vets acting like a bunch of kids having a blast... outstanding!! Maybe that Chi game could be the turning point i thought it could be afterall... hmmm... "Time will Tell" but great start.
ConnorFutureGM
Tanev's fist career goal - an OT winner - and he celebrates with teammates... Boring Canadian You're making a big deal about it just because he's on the Oilers. He's on another team, maybe you say something once and move on. He's on the Flames and he's the life of the party. He's on another team, maybe you say something once and move on. He's on the Flames and he's the life of the party. Actually, if there's any bias here, it's that he's Russian (though I admit it doesn't help that he is also an Oiler). What I can't stand is players that duck away from their teammates so that they can 'celebrate' by themselves - whether they are Oilers or anyone else. The only reason this is still being discussed is that there are Oiler fans lingering around and conintuing to defend him, which I find hilarious (and is the real source of bias). The post you quoted was a joke - I think it's you that needs to let go and move on.
Invin
Man, what a brutal start for the Capitals at 2-7-1 now. That franchise sure has some ups and downs with all the coaches they're going through. I thought they might struggle a bit, but not quite this badly. bronco73
wholly whoppers the worst call (well technically it was a non-call) I have seen yet this year. Duchesne was easily 4 feet offside with a linseman right there and called it good. How anybody can miss that is completely beyond belief. This league has got to fix it's officiating man. The way the year is going I might end up rooting for the Jets (best chance of my 3 teams to make the playoffs) & LA (former Flyers) in the playoffs. I'm thinking Rags over Slugs Canes over Caps BJs over Orca Bruins over Pens TB over Panthers Jets over Leafs St. L over SJ Ducks over Wild Nashville over Dallas 'Lanche over Oil Kings over 'Yotes Lots of games. DL44
Leafs @ Lightning Wild @ Red Wings Stars @ Avs Sharks @ Oilers Hawks @ Ducks Just 5 games tonight, but a HUGE 5 games... There's the battle of the Western conf #1 seed... Ducks could pull with in a mere 3 pts. Oilers and Sharks do battle with the winner sitting in 8th! (if Stars lose) But the biggest game I'll be paying attention to tonight is what i think it the pivotal game of the Leafs season... Leafs are on a 5 game losing streak... They just had 3 days off.. The first day off involved a huge chewing out by Carlyle and a good ol' fashioned bag skate. Win- and they show a pulse and some resolve... Lose -and i think they are in for another one of their classic late season dives.
DL44
Here's what i would LOVE to see happen if i were a Hockey God for a day... for the dominoes it may create for the standings and possible trades... Toronto 6 Boston 7 - just to see both goalies (especially TO's) get lit upNew Jersey 1 Ottawa 0 (SO) - double ShutoutLos Angeles 0 Chicago 1 - to see LA's goalless streak con'tEdmonton 0 Nashville 8 - duhMinnesota 0 Dallas 4 - duhDetroit 3 Phoenix 4 (OT) - like both teamsSan Jose 1 Anaheim 4 - to make the race for 8th more interesting and maybe spur further SJ moves.
