Whoops, I mixed up the starts. We had all been talking about him starting there,, and he gets the difficult assignment of facing Ovi and Oshie. The comment about holes was about that game. 😋

The typical result for a tired team is an increase in lazy penalties. Jersey is a team that we should be able to exploit on the forecheck. And hammer forwards on the back check. Smaller forwards (weight wise), but a heavier/bigger D. Whack-a-mole Mangiapane will probably spend a lot of time picking himself up off the ice, but he's going to embarrass a few D-men. Imperative that Vladar has a strong showing. He looked good in Detroit, but I have some concern about holes.

The results for Gudbranson's time on ice are a mixed bag. At times, he makes smart plays, but at other times he makes cringe-worthy break out passes. While we outplayed the Rags for a lot of the game, there were times where we tried to get out of the zone and it was feeble. I would be inclined to insert Zadorov back in the lineup, if he was just replacing Gudbranson. Not that Guddy has been the problem, just that the other 5 have been mostly steady. Need to see what works best. I've seen a nightmare scenario of Zaddy-Tanev. Perhaps Zadorov-Kylington or Zadorov-Ras would be a reasonable alternative. Just don't know. At this point, taking Kylington out doesn't make much sense. He's earning his minutes and adds skating to a sometimes slow pairing.

I think Coleman will enjoy going back to Jersey and leveling some players. He just doesn't care.
