Wonder if Bennett will get himself suspended in the playoffs again.

Using one from the set of available streams, I was able to find the exact broadcast from SN West. Same commercials, same intermission. Could have watched the home broadcast, but I preferred to see Ball.

All I am making is a prediction about the cup. I don't put a lot of stock in favorites, since those change over the course of a season. Not saying we were in the same league for most of the game or that they haven't deserved the wins they got. But Bob is the X factor with them. 15-3-2 record where some of those have come with 4 goals against. Will he take them past the first round or will they need to go with Knight.

I will take the blame. I wasn't able to watch normally and post my support on the thread. Had to watch a stream and cast it onto the tv. Good stream, even though it was just the Flames broadcast. UNlike the usual streams where you only get the live game part and no intermission coverage.

The game had marginal calls to gift FLA with chances. Saw at least one Flames player held and hooked way more than the first call. They evened it up in callls and actually gave us more. Blatant penalties though. Look, I'm not blaming refs at all. We looked bad on the PP and watching Hanifin waste 48 seconds of a PP is like watching a car crash in slow motion. He just has no sense at all. Was on for 3 goals against. Took the opening call for hooking that set up the first goal. We lost the game because we didn't play defense. We lined up a lot, but didn't manage to stop them once they got in the zone. Puck watching. Poor clearing. No easy outs. It was a poorly played 2nd that cost us the game.

FLA is the Oilers of last year. Will look good until the playoffs then lose out in round 1. They are riding the winning streak of Bob right now, even tough he looks like crap at times. This will end up being a year like STL's cup year, where you don't know until playoffs.

I don't know if I can entirely trust a news story these days, but I always thought that the mayor was litigating through Twitter. She has no standing as the only one to negotiate any T&C's of the deal. That's my opinion at least. What will happen if all the projects are cancelled? Blame the Flames? The province had a stake in at least one project, so how did the mayor get to take a chance on killing that deal as a result.

One of the worst defensive games by the Flames in some time. First two goals were somewhat forgiveable, since they went off Flames. That's abot the only nice thing I can say. I don't know that Richie is an improvement to Ruzie, since he hasn't played in ages. I know FLA is a good team, but we looked bad. Markstrom gave up what looked like a couple easy saves. Not that he is at fault, but where was the key save here and there. Back to the drawing board. Sutter has some work to do.

Some observations now that I have the stream stopped for a few minutes: 1) Trading chances with a team like FLA is not a great idea 2) Lucic needs to fight Gudas 3) Hanifin covering nobody on the Jumbo Joe goal 4) We score 2 of the 3 FLA goals on our own net 5) Gaudreau is dangerous out there tonight and could easily get a hatty 6) Ritchie is better than Dickson, but took a semi-bad penalty there to set up the goal. 7) Hanifin on the breakaway that caused the penalty early (1st one) was way too far in the O-zone...again. 8 - this could be a tense night That's it for now.

FLA has a nastier version of Guddy in the form of Gudas. That 2nd line looks like a hand full. I hope the old Bob is in nets and not the new Bob. Who gets Barkov? Yikes.

Their plan relies on getting calls going their way. When they don't they turn into sour pusses. McD was mauled but it was away from the play, so the refs let it pass. Truth be told, they let the teams play with only the most blatant ones callled for the most part. EDM did little to earn PP's. Saw NY actually play defense against the top two players. Stripped Draisaitl instead of letting him skate around untouched like most teams do. McD checked like he had a shadow on him. When thos two things happen, it's game over. Georgie isn't even a good goalie. He did make some nice saves, but it wasn't tough on him that often. Holland reacted to last season by expecting the NHL to be like the North division. Needed a couple of greybeards. Young D that made a mistake were the problem. Hardest hitting D-man was not a priority to re-sign. Get back the NHL leading D-man, even though he scored a ton against teams like Ottawa. They are over the cap and have to use Klefbom just to stay afloat. Nuge has a full NMC. Jessie P is worth his salary but they can't even afford to re-sign him. Might as well trade him for a goalie or real D-man. Unfortunately, this was the go-for-it year. Little on the team that any other team would want. Three players that are earning their pay are untradeable. Hyman has a full NMC. ONly way out is to trade Draisaitl, but they need him too much. Their only salvation is a couple of prospects that haven't even played pro hockey. And a 1st round pick that could turn into a lotto pick.

I think for the Flames, he is 6th overall right now. Passed Gio this season, and I think they made a big deal about it. Pretty obvious who should be re-sign soon. You can't replace that.

Heard this on the broadcast, but here is the tweet about it: Gaudreau’s three points gave him 530 points with the Flames, passing Guy Chouinard for 7th all-time on the franchise’s leaderboard. I admit that any stats I looked up showed Gaudreau passing Gio, but that was some time ago.

Gotta get back to scoring first. Next up FLA and (suspended) no Bennett. Then TBL with (hopefully) no Vasilevskiy. Then CAR.
