  1. Talbot standing tall to the Flames continued pressure.
  2. NAS getting creamed tonight. Down 3-1 after 1. They need to wn tomorrow if they can't come back for at least a point. BSD not doing enough to get the win.
  3. Great road game for the Flames. Score first, make them come to you. They have had a few high danger chances but Marky standing tall. One post for each team. Come on Johnny, kick it up to playoff intensity. Stage 2 delayed until 3rd.
  4. Oilers losing to SJS. Noah Gregor, nephew to noted Oilers hack Jason Gregor, has both goals. Proud uncle, but gritting his teeth.
  5. CAR wins the Jennings with the lowest GA. Calgary needed a SO tonight and one tomorrow just to be tied. Start that one against next season.
  6. A lot of typical calls being ignored. They give one finally that Johnny drew. Lindy was slashed. Tkachuk and Ras high sticked. Nothing. Didn't see the Flames penalty where they tied the game. Anyway. Stage 1 Complete Begin Stage 2
  7. Ahh the mystery AHL star. Like Wolf? Not close is he? Wolf has a ton of one goal against games. Better SA% and lower GAA.
  8. I hope it's Rozie, but neither is really a bad choice. 4th line misses you Lewis. Tonight I am a Preds fan and rooting for BSD.
  9. Slow clap. I am glass half-full. I think he has the knowledge to be that guy. It wasn't just him in other playoffs. It was the idea of slowing it down and stretching out the ice instead of a 5 man unit. He's going to get the odd breakaway, but it's not our only look. Nothing there? Dump it or back pass. Put it to an open area and get the guy to skate into it. How many coaches did we have that were over their head or couldn't change. BP was okay, but he stuck with it and didn't adjust. Or just pull out the blender. You do that best when a guy isn't going. If it's the entire line, then who knows.
  10. The best sight in a long time......
  11. Sounds like Saros has a high-ankle strain. That's not a one week thing. Come on NAS, put the boots to COL. Or at least tie them. One point minimum tonight and possibly 2 tomorrow night. Can't let them Stars ahead of you to finish.
  12. Hoping that means Rozie gets in a game. He may be low man on the pole though. We shall see.
  13. They should be without Zucc and Dumba not playing tonight, but we get to face Talbot. What is with this playoffs and facing former Calgary goalies. Elliott in Tampa. Smith in EDM. Talbot in Minny.
  14. His bonus gets paid on July 1st. That's even before FA day. He loves it here and we fans and the players love him too. It's no different with him as it is to buying out Monahan or trading with some retained salary. Costs money. I'm not certain that either will be traded or in Monahan's case bought out. Nor am I sure that Lucic would go for it. We only have so many ways to get under the cap.
  15. I never do. But Little Joe wasn't a Flames killer this year. Him and Roopie both kept off the board (goals at least). Joe P had a single assist. Robertson had 2 goals against us this year. The teams were a lot closer 2 years ago, but we have a better goalie and they have a slightly worse one. Anyway, we shall see. I would rather have a Rittich NAS and let Dallas grind down COL. If Saros is 100%, I would rather have them beat the piss out of COL.
  16. Once his bonus is paid out, he could potentially be a candidate to be traded. $1M actual with a high cap hit. Would probably be easier to trade than Monahan. Not that it will happen, just a possible scenario.
  17. Dallas and Nashville, neither wanting to take the WC1 spot. Dallas has the inside edge by the sake of 1 point lead. But they have just one game remaining. NAS needs one point and having DAL lose to get WC1. A NAS win in either game (in any fashion) and DAL getting a single point or less gives the WC1 to NAS. At this point, I don't even know which is a better match. NAS is physical and has a slight edge in PP scoring, assuming any are called. NAS has a solid goalie who may be 100%, or may be less, or maybe unable to start. With Rittich in, it's either a BSD return or what he's been like this season. He has so few starts that his edge is gone. DAL is struggling to hold and win in regulation. The physical edge only existed in years passed. Otter is up and down, meaning he looks unbeatable in some, average in others. Benn and Seguin would be better in playoffs than regular season due to greasy goals. Robertson is a factor. Heiskanen is good, but hasn't been the same impact playing us.
  18. Since this is about Gaudreau, I will force myself back on topic. I don't have as much concern about Gaudreau being dynamic in the playoffs. The line played like stars all season. Not a lot of situations much different from their tough games.
  19. He can play for the Heat, just not sure he can play in the playoffs.
