  1. I agree but would love to see Marky mentoring Wolf. but if they can cash in on his performence... so dam do it. 55 probably gone... IMO he would have been re-signed if he desided to stay. but also there will be a nice return.
  2. We are still able to hit the post πŸ™‚ and get one point.... πŸ˜‰
  3. Yes and no... I don't think the owners will allow Conroy to sell a player for less than value. They will probably wait until the TDL and get a max value... or else if they are in a playoff spot to say Conroy these players will not be sold.... It's usually not the gm's problem with the Flames unfortunately but the owners why it doesn't go beyond a mediocre. Although I do hope Conroy can turn this around with his enthusiasm. "impossible things are done immediately, miracles take a little longer".... This must be the motto for Conroy πŸ˜‰
  4. When I saw the AAV I also think it is a miss πŸ˜” he would have be a good 3rd line player... but with him some other would have to be gone... dube/mangi or coleman.... nothing I would love to give up
  5. Suter is off the books... signed 2y with the nucks πŸ˜’
  6. Could it be a possibility to use Dube as a C for the 3/4 line...he has played that position as well. And I think with his attitude, he will be able to call up more of his potential, due to the responsibility as C that comes with it. Pius Suter as 3/4 line C (traning camp decides if Dube or he gets to lead the 3 line) would provide a good foundation in the middle. What is still missing is the depth to react in case of injuries. This would have to be corrected via the draft in the coming years. I would probably try something like this: Huberdeau-Lindholm-Serangovich Pelletier-Kadri-Coronato Mangiapane-Suter- Duehr Coleman-Dube-Ruzicka Weegar-Ras Kylington-Tanev Zadorov-Oesterle Coleman in the 4 line is a luxury not to be afforded in a cap world. Financially, though, it should be doable if the contracts of Backs, Hanifin and Vladar fall away (trades). This setup would also make it possible to use the lines equally. And if it becomes scarce, the two "Star Player lines" to force.
  7. Thank you for the "update". I know it will take some time, but I did not foresee how much the election result can influence the agreement between the parties involved.
  8. Do ther are some news about the arena/finance? Nothing on the timeline? It's hard to follow the politic proces here over sea πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  9. I have read this article/report. NHL Rumors: Pius Suter Linked to New Team - NHL Trade Rumors - NHLTradeRumors.Me What do you think about the possibility? I see him as a valid replacement in case Backs is traded before training camp. Would probably also be a slightly cheaper solution than 3 C but defensively very strong. In addition, can also be used on the wings. And since I come from Switzerland, for me of course even more pleasing... although the Swiss in the dress of the Flames unfortunately could not convince so in the past β˜ΊοΈπŸ€”
  10. A little question about Toronto and its cap space issues. What if all teams wait until close to the deadline to be cap complayent, and then make low offers for players like Nylander for example. TOR would have to get rid of almost one or two players to be cap compliant when LTIR candidates return. that would be nasty πŸ™‚ And for me something is still unclear. What if a player who was LTIR is now healthy and could play, but cannot be reactivated due to the salary cap. Is there a penalty for TOR if this is the case?
  11. Thx for the feedback. I believ Conroy is the one, with Iggy as AGM or so called special advisor πŸ˜‰ how are, with his positiv way and love to the city of Calgary to turn this team around. I hope the moste of the trades are made befor or at the draft..... so let's wait and se πŸ™„
  12. Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and a CGY Flames fan from Switzerland. Unfortunately I didn't find a forum to introduce myself, but I will keep looking πŸ™‚ If someone can tell me, that would be great! I am a bit split between rebuilt or retooling. Personally, I think that it makes no sense after Huby, Kadri and Weegsi have their longer-term contracts to give Lindy a 5+ contract. For me as an outsider and not Canadian it is better for the club now, where it is still possible to get profit from the players who are not 100% committed to the club. I would: Trade: Hanifin, Toffoli, Backs (if he wants more than a 2 year contract). Keep and look at the TDL: Lindy, Tanev. If possible the 3 trades so that there are picks (2023) and young players close or ready to play NHL Hockey. What really hurts in in whole is that the 1Rd pick could be gone in 2024 or 2025.... Depending on which MTL gets from us. The thing is, the only "information" on talks I get here are Twitter, this forum and some headliners in the net... so I really don't know what is accurat news and what is "looking for klicks" news πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
