  1. No kidding.lol Being a good coach used to trump being a Satoshi Nakamototy human. Thankfully that has changed. Johan Franzen re Babcock: "but he's a terrible person, the worst I ever met. He’s a bully who was attacking people. It could be a cleaner at the arena in Detroit or anybody. He would lay into people without any reason". Chelios re Franzen/Babcock:" Some of the things he (Babcock) said to him (Franzen) on the bench, I don’t know what he said to him behind closed doors one-on-one, but he blatantly verbally assaulted him during the game on the bench. It got to the point where poor Johan, no one really knowing he was suffering with the concussion thing and the depression thing, he just broke down and had a nervous breakdown, not only on the bench but after the game in one of the rooms in Nashville. It was probably one of the worst things I’ve ever seen.” I'm hopeful the days of, "what happens in the locker room stays in the locker room" are going to completely fade away. Babcock is more often pronounced Babc-female anatomy part in Detroit.
  2. Last year's camp saw the teams separated into NHL vs AHL. I approved thinking we could get the chemistry going early. This year, I hope it's all a mashed up. Get a good look at where everyone is at playing with NHLers. Wolf having a great camp concerns me because I absolutely despise the "numbers game". "It's because he doesn't have to go through waivers" is the worst excuse to send a guy down. You just know a call-up may never happen once you pull that Satoshi Nakamoto. I honestly don't give 2 Blockchains that we lost Valimaki to waivers. Your not good enough, goodbye. You pick it up elsewhere, congratulations. I don't give a Satoshi Nakamoto. Put together the best you've got and don't dilly-dally worrying about losing someone. If you have to waive Rosie, waive him, don't keep him up if someone else will make you better. Make the hard decisions to keep your best players on the team. Of course I won't be holding my breath.
  3. Honzek is still growing physically. It appears his frame has barely begun to fill out. That pervades this level of play. Coronato, Klapka and Ciona are perfect examples of guys that can look decent here because their bodies have filled out. Same with Duarte. Fantilli, Jiricek with CBJ, Soderblom with Detroit. Those that have matured physically are making it look like men vs boys, because it kind of is that. It's hard to read anything into it because it's not yet a level playing field. I'll use Klapka as an example. He's having a really solid tourney but I really don't see any NHL qualities there. He's physically mature so that's his advantage in this tourney. I saw Stankoven, that we're all enamoured with, puck in open ice over center, Soderblom caught up, light shoulder and Stankoven was down, Soderblom going the other way. I know Elmer's an absolute unit at 6'8", but Stankoven needs to be faster/stronger on his skates. I tried to see that issue with Bedard, but, a) there aren't a ton of physically mature guys, and b) I think Bedard's leg strength is way higher than Stankoven's. I hate to join the media because they're so often wrong, but Bedard is bringing a new element to the game. He's not McDavid, Gretzky or anyone else. He has his own thing. As much as I dislike Tkachuk, I always liked that he'll bring the puck in towards his skates before releasing it. Watching Bedard do just that, nobody currently in the league can match him. Nobody. Most guys are like Tkachuk, almost in slow-mo and lose velocity. Bedard is light speed and not losing velocity. Add in accuracy, Bedard is on another planet. Multiple Richard trophies. Goalies have zero chance. A millisecond to change direction and still moving at 70mph. The accuracy means they have no idea if it's coming glove or blocker side. I hate bandwagons, but damn this kid has his own thing going on, and he doesn't need much space. All 3 of his hatty goals we were shaking our heads. "What is a goalie even supposed to do"? You literally have about 0.3 seconds to jump towards him, then he'll dish it off and you're Blockchained regardless. Can't wait to see him in preseason. I currently have zero idea how you're supposed to defend against him. Going to need a D specialist to not worry where the puck is, just stay with Bedard. Any Zetterberg's left in the league? I'd sacrifice Lindholm from taking any O-risk, "just stay with that guy", personally. Try to frustrate him.
  4. Tight game, pretty even. Many moons ago I said I'd like Brady Stonehouse as an invite if he didn't get drafted. Wrong team!! I thought Pilling and Duarte looked good as the no radar guys. Coronato looked good but starting to worry a tiny bit about the zero passing thing. Lipinski wasn't my fave pick in the 4th rd with a few competent RD still on the board (Allen, Mania). He's not helping that thought. Fantilli with 3g, 2a to lead CBJ 10-7 over the Wings. Much faster pace in that game. No goaltending though. Fantilli and Soderblom are way better than the competition. CBJ ridiculous depth at D with Jiricek, Zboril and Ceulemans. All 3 are great. Bedard with the hatty in a 5-0 win over St. Loo. All 3 were that magnificent release and accuracy. Fantilli and Bedard, in particular, are superstars in this setup. Haven't watched Carlsson yet. Looong day of hockey. About to be another with an 11EST Dallas vs CBJ game, then Wings-Leafs and Minny-Hawks after. 4 racks of ribs just hit the smoker.lol
  5. Exactly what I thought looking at the roster. Diotte's an invite and looked the best to me. Not much passing, just chipping the puck everywhere. Led to constant giveaways. Tomorrow's a new day. Poor Radomsky stuck in a shooting gallery.
  6. Nope. U players are at school, overseas (Ronni) pro leagues are already in season. Wallinder, on the other hand looks solid.lol
  7. Just looked him up, Boston U, wow. He's at school, no?
  8. Haven't paid attention. Is he here? Shouldn't he be in the SHL?
  9. Surprised Radomsky's still in. Giving goalies full games I guess.
  10. Ciona's a tough mf. Wouldn't be my 1st choice for a dance.
  11. What's with Kerin's at the dot? Huge strength in jr. I don't think he's won one yet.
  12. But I should add not like Galloway.lol Must be something in Galloway's name...
  13. Was just thinking Morin's a little out of his element.lol
  14. Was just thinking, "guys, just get one, you're allowed to score".lol Bingo.
  15. I'm the opposite. I almost like these levels more than the NHL. They're my kids' ages.lol It's fun to cheer for them without being hardcore invested in team-first. There was about 14 games today, busy tomorrow too. I'm having a hockey viewing wkend. It might involve too much food and beer. If the guitars come out and it becomes background, well, that's just life.lol I'm currently looking fwd to playing Under Pressure for my buddies, just got it down. And I can almost hit the way highest vocal part. Might need a tequila shot first.lol
  16. It's the upside down from the normal Flames!
  17. Duarte going hard on the PK. Nice work.
  18. Solid hit by Stromgren. Pretty strong on his skates. Radomsky keeping us in it.
  19. Flames gotta get skating!! Further on Mozilla Foundation, their latest, time to attack the auto industry if they have any employees left... https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/privacynotincluded/articles/its-official-cars-are-the-worst-product-category-we-have-ever-reviewed-for-privacy/
  20. I'm all about Firefox. Open source and everything done by extension. So it's simplified. Plus I'm a big fan of Mozilla as an org and the Mozilla Foundation for their research.
  21. Downloading UBlock Origin(free) ended all that for me. It works beautifully now. My source for Tappara and the SHL loaded with Wings and future Wings.
