  1. 2 big comeback wins in a row. They played well, really skating all game. Some major D gaffes, typically with a guy named Duclair.
  2. 6-5 SJ in OT. Coulda moved ahead of FLA for 2nd, but tied now. The puck giveaways are spectacular, the bad kind of spectacular...
  3. 3 goals in 29 seconds, 4-0 Detroit. edit 4-4 in no time.lol After 2.
  4. Woof, that's a struggle. Just keep Vladar. None other than Mike Vernon with the Wings broadcast crew rn. Love they always bring guests in to help the commentary. Kane looks good, SJ playing well. 1-0 Wings.
  5. I hate to have to say don't look now, but...Oilers are 2pts back, 2 games in hand.
  6. I do believe you've got it!! So Hedman was about 10.8% of cap when he signed. So that is around Larkin's $8.7. Nice price for the 2 main core pieces. Seider could get more, age, Calder, would be a perennial Norris candidate if D actually mattered. Then it's on to Raymond, Rasmussen, Veleno, Berggren as RFAs. Perron, Sprong and Ghostisbehere as UFAs worthy of re-signing. Nice problems to have. Kane makes his debut tonight at home vs the Sharks. I rolled the dice and got tix for Saturday vs the Sens. Thought that could be his debut. Good game though, becoming the fiercest rival. The pizza palace will be wild tonight!! Maybe he won't even play Saturday.lol Yzerman being very reserved about Kane's usage, which makes sense. Pretty much just, "a lot of people cheering for him, but we'll see how it goes". He's definitely under no illusions that this was a low cost risk. I could listen to Yzerman interviews all day. He basically says it's because him and DeBrincat are best friends, and he has huge respect for how Kane thinks the game. So he obliged, and basically leaves it as, "I hope it works out for him, he's had a great career". Kane seems pretty jacked, so hopefully he can translate on the ice. Larkin makes any winger better, really. He does most of the heavy lifting. If Kane can carry the puck in, that helps relieve Larkin from being the guy to focus on every time. As an aside, Lyon's been great for $0.9 this year and next. Who wants Reimer?lol
  7. A point made during last night's win vs Buffalo I'd never really thought about, but yeah. Seider hasn't missed a single game (187) since breaking into the league. 1D, PP, PK, getting more physical, almost never gets beat 1-on-1. Thankful Ghostisbehere and Holl can relieve some of his TOI this year. He's going to get paid. Cap goes up, 8 x $10 I can see quite easily. Can compare salaries, but there isn't really a similar style of Dman imo. He can't O threat the way Makar or Hughes do, but anchors the whole show from the backend. D-wise, maybe the best in the league with only Makar alongside. It isn't even very close for other Dmen that I can think of. A lot of #s but not great D-wise. Or solid D-wise with little O.
  8. If they do it like that they deserve to be shot. Nosebleeds used to just be a saying. They serve no purpose there. If that's your option, stay home and watch on TV, because that giant screen has you doing exactly that. Then you can charge your friends $12/beer so it's a bargain.lol Hopefully it's a design that compliments the setting as opposed to dominating it. In tune with developing/promoting greenspace and multi-use, it needs to fit that. Rogers Place promotes being inside because of location. I'm sure they understand all of that. It's not attached to an indoor mall... Plus, they aren't jammed up in that area like Ed was or the pizza palace in Detroit as far as construction goes. Guessing Spiller Rd becomes construction road. Interesting to see how they lock in construction for stampede.
  9. Ooooof, how in the dying expletive did I come up with Rittich. Can't even blame day-drinking...psilocybin flashbacks??lol
  10. Good grab on Ingram, I knew holding out one more day wouldn’t work. ARI’s playing some fun hockey. Hoping Hill won’t be out long but zero information re injuries is the norm. Kane should be debuting the winged wheel promptly. See what the shuffle looks like. Raymond with Fabbri wouldn’t hurt my feelings.
  11. So...guess we're running with Rittich and Wolf... Week to week...like 4 to 6 of them...
  12. Bids are bids, throw out the high and low and go from there. That's a pretty extensive portfolio of arenas, wow. Good sign.
  13. medats, I think Weegar and Coleman are tied for 1st in goals (inexplicably) so the rest are tied for 3rd. That's my read...which affects me negatively.lol
  14. I'm just taking Wings. They're high-scoring. Holy disappointment in Kyrou (53rd for RW), Necas (40th) and Carlson (40th for D). Just terrible for pools this year. If I sit Kyrou occasionally, it's the rare occasion he gets 2 assists. Same with Necas. My 2 main RW's were a nightmare. 4th liners for pooling. Wish I got rid of Kyrou immediately because I never wanted him. It's also hellyear for IR. It just isn't happening if it's <month injury. I think Meier was 7 games. I was okay until Hughes' brief injury, everyone but Dunn and Hill just spiralled downwards. I've run out of spit and bubblegum.lol
  15. Off topic, but I happened across this on the main site (Fans). "Come early and score deals on food and drink. HHH starts one-and-a-half hours before game time and ends 30 minutes before puck drop. You can get a 14 oz. draught, 1 oz. highball and 6 oz. house wine, along with a cheesburger, pizza slice and hot dog for just $6". Has anyone called them on this? I would just for fun. "It says on your website...right here".lol Not sure if I would be hammered or nap-full of junk food for maybe $18. Unreal deal...as in, "not real". Put this on a US team website, and you're either honouring or losing a lawsuit.lol
  16. You have to hate the alternative...
  17. Wings signed him last year. Missed the entire season to Achilles surgery - the career killer.
  18. I think I might be one of the few that like Conroy's whole 2 trades so far. I'm not really one to overrate Toffoli and zero chance I wanted him re-signed. I'm a fan of Sharangovich and think his skillset will only improve. Toffoli wasn't exactly setting the league on fire at the same age, Add in a 3rd and I'm fine with that. This particular trade I like because at some point we needed to start finding a way to manage out of the chains Conroy was tied up in. For the other potential trades, I don't share the, "need to replace" mindset for guys moving out. Not denying we will be left with needs, but they don't have to be tied to these trades specifically. Just put ourselves in a position to open all the various avenues to acquire players. Good players become available, we need to be in a position cap-wise and pick-wise to have competitive offers. We've sorely lacked that, so it's difficult to manage without much of a toolbox. I'll give him a B right now in seeing that I think that he's trying to create some breathing room for himself. I can get with that. Hopefully (for the umpteenth time), Pelletier will be back soon.
  19. Wowy, the puzzled takes re: Z are fading.
  20. He needs to be the driver. See: Dylan Larkin He's had that opportunity. If your wingers need to be extremely specific, you aren't a 1C so not worth $8.5-9, kill that offer hard. He's going to regret balking at $7.5 per. I can't see him getting a better offer. Term is going to be an issue. I'm sure he wants 3-4. He is seriously worth a year or 2, but it's sketchy beyond that. Likely a buyout/LTIR after 2 imo. The Leafs should REALLY make a play for him more than almost everyone. BT will be in on everyone and walk away with nothing, isn't that the schtick we all know and love?
  21. Nice to see that I'm not overrating a healthy Fabbri. 10GP; 7G/2A/9Pts. Awesome when healthy, but always injured, playing through injury or about to be injured.😭
  22. Trying to do the math on the Horvat trade: Van trades: Horvat '23 2nd to Detroit '26 3rd to Calgary Van receives: Hronek Zadorov A. Raty '23 4th (Detroit) Is that correct? Beauvillier (5th rd pick) is a wash. NYI 1st is a wash (I think?). Decent return? *Connected via Beauvillier and the 5th... Edited to add the D 4th
  23. That's a good take by him. We've had zero cap to be offering that. It's nice that he's put it out there. He really did need to find wiggle room within the cap. He was left virtually zero which is a big handcuff for a new GM. How do you renovate your house with $0? Still dying to see what Pelts will add to the roster for cheap.
