Tampa vs NYR. This should be a good series. There's a lot to unravel. Tampa Twice Champs, goalie, size, skill, solid D. Blocking everything. Were on the ropes vs Toronto. NYR Inexperienced outside of 4-0 in elimination games this year. Goalie, skill mix with lots of it being young and ambitious, decent size (the Reaves factor), D seems shady but stepping up. I'm convincing myself this will be about 4 Russians: Vasilevsky vs Shesterkin Kucherov vs Panarin A majority of the rosters are relatively even. Thoughts?

Who needs goaltending? Have to wonder if these 2 teams will ever have a 3-1 score. If D wins games, what if neither team plays D? The 2 elite goalies go tonight. Much better hockey I'd wager.

You missed Dube and Ruzicka. Dube for sure is a lock with a good contract and is only 23. He hasn't plateaued yet.

I have Kreider too. So Zib>Panarin and Fox. I don't love your odds;) Quite the race at the top.

I was really hoping for a Shesterkin vs Vasilevsky East final once Vas blew everybody up. Got my wish:) I kept saying the Canes are pushing their luck taking Shesterkin down to one must win game. I expect a fierce goalie battle. Should be epic. High shot volumes, low scoring. Not a series I'd bet on. The West goalies...meh...but Edmonton, I'm guessing, is in huge trouble. For all of the high-falutin' scoring, the AVS can be a nasty, nasty team.

Nice to see pikey & Rsquared ignored NYR players;) But they have Draisaitl, so it's time for an AVS sweep. I'm cheering for a NYR vs AVS series.😁

Holland was great in the no cap era. He has struggled mightily since. Left Detroit in an abysmal situation. Also of note, his draft record in Detroit was also abysmal with 1st and 2nd rd busts. Yzerman went to TBay because Holland refused to move to upper mgmt, so there's that too. While Stevie built Tampa, Holland collapsed HockeyTown with all sorts of bad signings/drafting. At a time when Lidstrom, Datsyuk and Zetterberg were still fantastic, he couldn't figure out how to manage the cap.

I watched the Heat youtube channel. Indeed, it was Kerins and Pelts celebrating Phillips' goal in game 1. Highlights are scant though. Just goals, really. Can't find toi, faceoff data that might be helpful. Hopefully he's doing well. He certainly looks like it's straight into the fire, which is likely okay. The Spits are still alive, otherwise: "Hold my beer" - Wyatt Johnston, probably. If the Texas Stars mattered.
