I don’t get why we are not playing Vlad a little more. I thought last game against Seattle would have been the perfect time. Marky’s gotta win 16 games come playoff time, he’s got lots of games in front of him hopefully. Sutter doesn’t care about individual awards, but maybe he wants him to tie Kipper’s record this year? Not saying which one on game day….lol.

A few years ago I listened to Dutter on a panel during the playoffs. I can’t remember what year it was but it was after his LA stint and they were using him as a Flames analyst. He commented then that he felt Backlund was the best third line center in the league…then he grinned, and said again “listen to what I said…THIRD line center.” My guess is if he had a solid option at 2C, you’d see Backs on 3C.

Really wish Vlad would have played last night and Marky tonight. Seems like Sutter doesn’t trust Vlad near as much as I do.

The last time I checked the Sabres were also a team full of professional hockey players. Like it or not, there isn't allot of difference team to team. We got up against a hot goalie and lost a game, it happens. Did we play perfect? Nope. Do the Sabres beat us in a 7 game series? Also nope.

If you watch the long version of it, Johnny was laughing and poking him in the butt with his stick while they were in line. Larkin finally stole his stick and after he shook hands, skated to the dressing room with it. Looks to me like they are buddies jerking around with each other.

You would have to trade back contracts equal to Webers, and then put Weber on LTIR, effectively freeing up his cap to squire better quality players. Trade some dead weight cap and a prospect or pick to free that cap space up.

I look forward to Oiler's games every night, they're my third favorite. I watch the Flames first, then the Panthers (mostly to cheer for Benny), then I like to keep tabs on the stinkers up north, crossing my fingers for a loss. After a loss, I love to go on twitter and watch the epic meltdowns. Smith is definitely the new whipping boy. It fun!

My vaxxed buddies have logged in more sick days from reactions by far than I did by avoiding the vax and contracting COVID. They were sick for a couple days with each shot. I was sick for a couple days with the vid. 🤷♂️
