Tanev will hurt the PK. Hanifin will hurt the scoring. But we can't be keeping them. The reason for the whistle was contact with the goalie. That's a f'in joke. Long term, I suspect we would get a better return this summer if we go that way. As crappy as the non-playoff teams in the west are, we are not going to hit 95 points. If we went 20-10-1 the rest of the season, we still are just 94 points. We haven't played at that clip at all this season. I am okay with losses seeing the guys play as a team like the last two. I'm less concerned with making the playoffs as of the ASG break. The Lindholm trade defined where we are headed. It may not be a big sell off but it is a sell off. Hanifin appears to have made his decision known to the Flames. I personally think it was a mistake to leave it up to him (so goes the rumor). But I think he has decided he wants out. Nothing like a trip to Beantown and fresh seafood to help you decide. Can't say I have figured out what Calgary is famous for. Beef, but you can buy that anywhere. Texas beef is good too.
