And I think that’s pretty much what I was saying later. If the Flames can just get the bottom half of the forward lines worked out. cross16 Posted January 2, 2019 Report Share Posted January 2, 2019 I don't agree that if anything is going to hold the Flames back from winning a cup it's scoring depth, nor do I thikn that's the critical element. During the playoffs last year the Caps got 57% of their goals from their top 5 guys, Flames currently get 61%. Get a hot goalie and play your best team game at the right time and you have a great shot. What is harder to come by is the elite talent required to win a cup and I think what is becoming more clear everyday, and should be very exciting, is the Flames have that elite talent.
