RIP Jean Beliveau

Jean Beliveau passed away at the tender age of 83.

Clearly and without need for glorification, the man who set the bar for how to be a professional hockey player can rest in peace.

The innate modesty and earnestness of the majority of NHLers today reverberates from an entire generation of Jean Beliveau fans that wanted to be just like him in bygone days.

In this day and age of sports scandal, you won't find a sports analyst in the furthest reaches of North America and beyond that won't tell you professional hockey players are far and away the easiest and classiest athletes to deal with.

Rest in peace Mr. Beliveau, you're legacy is likely the most indelibly-stamped legacy of any player we owe thanks to, in all of professional hockey history.

And your legacy will always remain.
